Capacity for Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch for a 2003 Jeep Liberty

Question:
Hi!! I was wondering how this hitch can be rated for 9000 lbs line pull when curt advertises it on ebay as 3500lbs? I just want to get the right hitch for a winch that wont break off, as my jeep weighs over 3500lbs. Is this a class 2 or 3? Thanks! !!

Curt must not be the seller because front mount hitch # C31022 is rated for 9,000 pounds when used as a straight line pull. If you are moving a trailer around with it then the gross trailer weight is 3,500 pounds. I have included a link to the instructions that show the capacities at the top of the first page.
It is technically a Class III since it has a 2 inch receiver but front mount trailer hitches are not given Class ratings like rear mounted hitches. I have never seen a front mount hitch that had a 1-1/4 inch receiver which is what a Class II would have.
