Muffler is Touching Vertical Plate on Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11265

Question:
what can i do if my muffler touch at the vertical plate on my hitch. the rubber of muffler expend when is hot and the muffler go back and touch the plate. i just have 1/4 inch space between the muffler and the vertical plate.

Due to vehicle manufacturers having a loose tolerance for mounting the hangers that suspend the exhaust system, occasionally people will run into this issue when installing a hitch.
