Question:
I have a turbo 2013 beetle wanting to tow small camper about 1200 pounds retro lower than my car what do you recommend
asked by: Ken C
Expert Reply:
First I recommend checking the vehicle owners manual to determine if the 2013 VW Beetle is rated for towing and, if so, if it has enough capacity for the 1,200 pound trailer.
The trailer hitch I would recommend for your gas Turbo Beetle is Draw-Tite's trailer hitch # 24879. The recommended ball mount is # 3594. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258. With a Class I trailer hitch you have to use the ball mount specified by the hitch manufacturer otherwise it will void the hitch warranty.
For trailer wiring you can use # C56380.
