It sounds like you are looking for a 4-way trailer wiring harness for your Rodeo. We have just what you need.
I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part # 118360. This is an easy installation by attaching the T-connectors to the connectors that are behind the tail lights and you are good to go.
I have attached a link to an installation video for this harness on a 2001 Rodeo you can check out.
When working with electrical connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the electrical connections and helps prevent corrosion.
