Since you don't have a trailer hitch installed, a trunk mount bike rack would be your best bet, as long as your Fit isn't a Sport model.
For a good, basic bike rack capable of carrying two bikes, you can't go wrong with the Thule Passage, part # TH910XT. The Passage provided what I consider essential features like sturdy padded cradles that use rubber straps to hold the bikes securely. Anti-sway cradles also grip the bike on the seat post tube, preventing the bikes from swaying back and forth during travel.
The primary disadvantage to a trunk mount rack is that you'll need to remove it to access the rear hatch. It's not recommended to leave the rack in place while opening or closing the hatch.
Another option would be to install a receiver hitch like part # 24776 and use a hitch mounted bike rack like the Swagman Trailhead, part # S63360. Once the bikes are removed from the rack, you can remove a linch pin and tilt the rack rearwards, which allows you to open the rear hatch. The receiver would also allow a mounting point for hitch mounted accessories like a cargo tray, part # C18110.
If you'll be transporting women's bikes or bikes with sharply-angled top tubes, you might also consider a frame adapter bar like part # 64005. The bar spans the distance between the handlebar gooseneck and the seat post, which provides a secondary attachment point for the bike rack. This allows the bike to be carried level, which maximizes ground clearance. I'll link you to a video showing how the adapter bar works.
