Availability of Base Rail Installation Kit for Mounting DSP Hitch in 2001 Dodge Ram 6-Foot Bed

Question:
Hello I have a 17000 lb DSP hitch roughly 1990 generation, will this other rail and installation kit fit? Thanks

I checked with my technical contact at Demco about compatibility of their Custom Base Rails and Installation Kit # DM8553003-12 with your 1990-era 17K-rated DSP brand 5th wheel hitch. My contact advised that no testing of this combination has ever been done and so they can not make you any absolute assurance that the two brands' parts will work together properly.
My contact did provide some measurements of their rails to help you determine if they will be compatible with the DSP hitch. The rails' overall outside length edge to edge is 38-1/4-inches. The inside measure where the hitch would mount is 30-1/2-inches, and the bolt hole centers are spaced at 33-1/2-inches.
