Side Vent for Enclosed Trailer with Interior Wood Paneling  

Question:

cargo trailer side air vents to vent an enclosed generator We like the butterfly vent but have wood paneling on the inside of our cargo trailer. What do you suggest?

You can still use butterfly vent # 371800. The wood paneling in the trailer should not be an issue because no matter what material is on the inside you would have to cut a hole for the vent. If there is a gap between the outer and inner walls of the trailer then you could bridge that gap with some small gauge sheet metal such as tubing used for clothes driers.

A vent such as # WHMAV2-WAVT2 might be a better option. I have linked a video review of this vent and the butterfly vent as well.

I am not sure how either of these vents would work as ventilation for a generator inside your enclosed trailer since they are not designed for that purpose. Generators in general are not meant to be used in confined, enclosed spaces so you might want to speak with the generator manufacturer to see if they have a solution.
