Can Lock Cores from an Older Thule Roof Rack be Used in a New Thule Roof Rack

Question:
We have a Thule gutter foot roof rack that came off our old Volvo, and weve recently purchased the newer 450 Crossroad foot pack to use with our square bars for our Hyundai Vera Cruz. Are we able to take the locks out of the gutter foot and use them in the 450 Crossroad? If so, how would we do this?

Yes you can remove the lock cores of your old Thule roof rack and use them in your new one. All you need to do is have the lock cores in the unlocked position and then insert the change key part # 853-1251 and they will release from the rack so that you can slide them out and install them in your new rack.
