we bought this strap and it does not work. Our 4 bike Thule takes a Square strap and the round does not w Work

The Thule straps with the square holes are no longer available but you may be able to use strap #05002200000 . The strap is 8 inches long overall and has six 5/8 inch wide square holes and 2 5/8 inch diameter round holes at either end, see picture. This strap should work just fine for you.
