Question:

I have an AL-KO 7290 hub will these oil caps RG04-300 fit? I picked up a replacement oil cap from a local trailer shop and after 1 turn into my hub the cap was so tight I didnt want to force it anymore. On returning the cap I was told it will fit just torque it in. I have the tools to force it but Im sure the cap would break before screwing all the way into this hub. My old cap will screw in without a lot of force so by comparing the threads on each cap I can see a difference between the new one and old one.

The hub is going to require the proper threaded cap so you do not want to force one on that has different threads so you have done good so far. Now we just need to determine if there is a cap that will fit. We have oil cap kit # RG04-250 which fits 10K to 12K AL-KO oil bath axles.
