The Curt Class I Trailer Hitch Receiver with Drawbar, # 11184, will fit your 2010 BMW 128i Coupe. As far as the rattling goes, we have not received any comments regarding rattling. However, if there is rattling, it could be a few things causing the noise.
First, it may not be the hitch, but something that is loose from installing the hitch. If everything is re-assembled correctly according to the instructions (linked below) rattling is less likely. Also, it is important to torque the installation bolts to the specifications recommended in the instructions.
Along the same lines, there could be a muffler hanger close to the hitch that makes contact and causes a rattling noise. In this case, the hanger could be bent slightly so it no longer makes contact with the hitch.
There also is the possibility of the draw bar rattling in the hitch. If this is the case, you can add a simple anti-rattle device like the Anti-Rattle Wedge, # RM-061-125.
