Question:
My enclosed trailer door is about 1 thick. There needs to be about 1 between the bolt and the mounting lip. I want to be able to open the door from either the inside or outside, so I need the inside release. Will this latch work okay in my door?

I went out to the warehouse to measure the Junior Locking Stainless Steel Flush Door Latch with Inside Release, # L1833. Your trailer door would have to be no larger than 7/8 inches thick for the latch to fit. Instead, you could use latch # L3980. According to the manufacturer, this latch will fit a 1 inch thick door.
