Date Code Not Shown on 2 Out of 4 Taskmaster Tires

Question:
I just received my order of 4 taskmaster 215/??/14 radial d range. 2 of the tires have the dot week and year branded on them and the other 2 do not. why?

Expert Reply:
I spoke with our resident tire and wheel expert and he said that the date code on the tires is likely on just one side of the tires. If you don't see it on one side check the opposite side sidewall for the date code.
Tires have to have a date code on them to not only be DOT approved but also if there is a recall for whatever reason.
