We offer a 1-1/4-inch light-duty Class I hitch for your 2015 Volkswagen Golf Sportwagen TDI (as long as it is not the R version), part # C11411 from Curt.

Since your intended application is towing all you'll need to add is a ball mount # C45520 and a hitch ball, either 1-7/8-inch # C40001 or 2-inch # C40018.

Two helpful hitch installation articles are included for you. In addition to basic hand tools you will need a torque wrench like # ALL944001 to install the hitch to the manufacturer's specs.

For a wiring harness use kit # C59236. This is a powered converter that will protect your car's wiring from potential risk of overload or shorts from the trailer wiring. An article to help your harness installation is also included.

It is always a good idea to confirm a vehicle's towing capacity in your owner's manual before towing any trailers.
