Question:

Looking at the item E-3S curt step bumper receiver. My truck has holes about 7 3/4inch apart center. Will this item fit?

Curt Bumper Hitch, part # E-3S, is made to attach to a truck step bumper. It is a universal fit design so it is not listed for a specific vehicle. The mounting holes are 8-1/2 inches center to center between the holes.

Since your 2006 Toyota Tundra step bumper has mounting holes that are 7-3/4 inch apart center you can still use the hitch but you would have to drill new holes. I am including a picture that will show the measurements for the Curt hitch.

The weight capacity of the Curt hitch is 5,000 lbs. gross towing weight and 500 lbs. tongue weight. But the actual towing capacity of the hitch will be the lowest rated item in the system which is either the vehicle capacity, the bumper capacity or the hitch itself, whichever is lowest.

I also have a frame mounted hitch like the Draw-Tite Class III Trailer Hitch, part # 75105, which will fit your 2006 Toyota Tundra. It has a weight capacity of 5,000 lbs. and a tongue weight capacity of 500 lbs.

I am sending a link to the instructions on the Curt bumper hitch and a video link of the Draw-Tite being installed on a 2002 Toyota Tundra
