Hitch Recommendation for a Pop Up Camper
Published 03/26/2015 >
Question:
can i use any of your products to tow a small boat behind a fleetwood williamsburg pop-up trailer? the bumper is 2inch by 4inch by 2inch not completly enclosed and it appears to be pretty flimsy in construction. however, there is a circular knock -out plug that allows for access to a more sturdy metal box....

To install a hitch on your trailer you will need to use a frame mounted hitch. Before you do that you will need to determine if pop-up can tow a small trailer behind it. Contacting the manufacturer with your model info will allow you to determine this.
If your pop-up can have a hitch installed on it you would want to use a frame mounted multi-fit hitch like the # 13703 that is designed to fit frames rails that are between 22 and 72 inches apart.
You will want to check your local DOT to determine if a trailer towing a trailer is legal.
I attached an install video for you to check out as well.
