Question:

What is your best selling...most highly recommended 2 bike carrier that would fit a 2015 Subaru Forester. I am not interested in a roof rack and not too excited about putting a receiver hitch on our Forester either. Thanks!

The trunk mounted bike rack I recommend most often is the Thule Outway, part # TH45JV, which is compatible with your 2015 Forester. The thing that makes the Outway stand out from other trunk mounted bike racks is the way it attaches to the vehicle. Rather than 6 straps that need to be tightened and loosened in order to install or remove the rack, the Outway uses 2 Padded arms and 2 straps with torgue limiting knobs that provide an audible click when the straps are tight. It also features a one-Key System locks and cable lock deter theft of the rack and your bikes.

When you consider the fact that under no circumstances should you open or close the rear vehicle hatch with the rack attached to the vehicle, you can see how important it is to have a rack that's easily installed or removed.

The Thule Passage, part # TH910XT is a quality rack, but it won't be as easy to install and remove from the vehicle, nor does it include the locking capabilities of the Outway.

If you'll be transporting women's bikes or bikes with sharply-angled top tubes, you might also consider a frame adapter bar like part # 64005. The bar spans the distance between the handlebar gooseneck and the seat post, which provides a secondary attachment point for the bike rack. This allows the bike to be carried level, which maximizes ground clearance.
