I have tried an older roof rack system for this car and it dont seem to fit right. Will the Inno rack fit better?? I am planning to carry longboards from 9'8 to 10 foot long. Thanks for your help

Without knowing the specifics about how the Yakima rack didn't fit well, it would be hard to compare the fit of the Inno rack to what you had. The Inno rack uses clamps that grab the upper door jamb of the vehicle, which is a reliable attachment method.
To provide a rack for your Beetle, you'd need the following items:
Square crossbars, part # INB127
Roof Rack Feet, # INSUT
Short Roof Adapter Kit # INJK
Custom Fit Kit # INK775
To carry your boards, you could use Inno's Locker carrier, part # INA446.
As long as the Inno roof rack is installed according to the manufacturer's instructions, it should fit very well.
