Question:
my customer has a 16 reese pro series slider with the universal rails and he purchaced the hardware kit 56009 , will this kit work with the universal rail 30035 . its on a 2014 dodge 2500 with a 6ft bed

Expert Reply:
The Reese # RP56009 is a frame bracket kit, which contains the frame brackets and the hardware to mount them to the frame. Since these brackets connect to the bed rails on the OUTBOARD side of the frame and not above it, standard length bed rails like those included with the # RP30035 universal install kit. You'll need longer rails, part # RP30153 which include hardware for attaching to the frame brackets.
If you click the provided link, you can see a product description video for the rails I recommended. If there's not already a 7-way trailer connector in the bed of the truck, I'd recommend part # 41157. If you click the provided link, you can see an install video for the in-bed trailer connector.
