Question:
Just got an Olympian 5500 for my RV. How do you get the temperature regulated?I have cooked three times with it and have a hard time not burning everything. OI am an experienced grill user but cant get the temp below 500 degrees F. That is way too hot for meats that need to cook slower, or that I want over low heat.Help

The Camco Olympian 5500 Stainless Steel RV Propane Grill # CAM57305 is intended for use with a low-pressure propane source. It includes a knob for gas flow regulation much like a standard home gas grill does.
It is not uncommon for a very full propane tank to output more pressure than it does when its propane level has dropped even slightly. If the source you are using is a very full tank you might keep using the grill until the tank's pressure has dropped. I know that my home gas grill does tend to run hotter with a new propane tank than with a nearly empty tank - even with the same knob setting.
