Availability of SuperSprings Stabilizer and Sway-Control Kit for 1991 GMC Jimmy

Question:

Hello! My 91 GMC Jimmy has a 6inch suspension lift. Will these springs install on the aftermarket leaf springs? I use my Jimmy to tow my 20foot travel trailer and I am looking for any help to prevent sway and improve stability. Thank you!

The SuperSprings Stabilizer and Sway-Control Kit # SSA8MTKT will fit both 2- and 4-wheel-drive models of the 1991 GMC Jimmy.

These helper leaf springs provide selectable reinforcement to OEM leaf springs and can be installed to provide increased ride height if desired. These bolt-on maintenance-free helper leaf springs will automatically deactivate when the suspension is not under load. They will help to prevent twisting of the OEM springs and will help compensate for minor spring fatigue in older vehicles but they are intended for use with suspensions that are in good working order.

Given the age of the tow vehicle I advise having the suspension checked by a qualified automotive technician to confirm that no components are beyond their lifespan.
