Can I use this bike rack on my travel trailer?

The Yakima RidgeBack 4 Bike Hitch Mounted Rotating Rack with Frame Mount Cradles, # Y02458, cannot be used on the back of a travel trailer per Yakima's recommendation in the instructions. A bike rack placed on the rear of an RV or towed trailer will be subjected to a substantial amount of shaking and bouncing, over and above what would be experienced if it were installed on a car, truck or SUV. The folding mechanism of a bike rack can become a failure point when exposed to these bouncing and shaking forces.

A bike rack that will work is the Swagman XP RV and Motorhome Bike Rack, # S64940. This rack does not fold or tilt like the Yakima. While the Swagman rack can be used on the back of your trailer, you must have a Class III hitch on your trailer. We do have several frame mount RV hitches. I have provided a link below should you determine you need a new hitch.
