Length of the Replacement Ladder Support Peg # 8535 to Black Portion

Question:
How long in the aluminum tube..Not, to the tip of the black .. To the black only.. I need one 5 1/2 inches to the black ..

I went out into our warehouse and measured the Replacement Ladder Support Peg # 8535 and found that it measures 4-7/8 inches from the base to the black portion of the peg. If you could come up with a spacer that's a little bit wider than 1/2 of an inch this would work well for you.
