For a 2004 Silverado 3500 Cab/Chassis, I'd recommend the Firestone # F2249 Ride Rite air suspension. The system has a 5000 lb capacity, although you'll be limited by the cargo carrying capacity of your truck. The beauty of an air bag system is that you can quickly and easily adjust the amount of air in the system to provide the right support for the load you're carrying.
If your Silverado has a pickup truck bed on it, you'd use the # F2250 Ride Rite suspension.
You can go a step further and add an on-board compressor system like part # F2097. The heavy duty compressor system would give you the ability to add or remove air from the system by pressing a rocker switch installed under the dash in the truck cab.
