How does the handheld remote install in a 2012 honda rancher 420 2x4? The 2012 does not have an outlet.

The hand-held remote control that is supplied on the Superwinch Terra Series ATV Winch # SW1125220 will plug into an included socket that is part of the complete kit. This kit is supplied with both a hard-wired rocker switch that can be handlebar mounted with the included bracket and a wired remote/socket assembly that installs with screws similarly to a vehicle 7-way socket.
If you refer to the linked photo you can see these various components which are essentially the same as those supplied with the LT3000 # SW1130220 that you referenced.
