Today we are going to review part number YRJONBLOCK. This is the Yates flat bow stop for boat trailers. This stop will replace the worn-out bow stop on your boat trailer. It is constructed off a heavy duty rubber material. This part is made in the USA. This stop will keep your boats bow in place when its loaded on your trailer.
The flat shape on this stop is designed for you to use with swift John boat inaudible. The stop will prevent the boat from hitting the trailer wench during loading and it provides a soft spot for the bow to bump up against the front of the trailer. I'll do a few measurements on this. We'll measure the base. The base on this is 2 and 7/8 inches wide and 3 inches tall.
Then we'll measure the span which will measure 5 and 3/8 inches. This stop is designed to fit on a bracket with a 1/2 inch diameter shaft. And that should do it for part number YRJONBLOCK.

I installed it in place of a V type roller, because the boat is a flat bow Jon Boat.
It was a perfect fit & it spreads the load across a wider area to minimize stress on the hull.
The rubber is kinda hard , so I’ll add a stick on pad where it contacts the hull.

Since my 16' aluminum Starcraft has a "flattened" upper bow from where a previous owner tightened the winch with stop against hull prior to pulling boat/trailer out of deep launch; this "jonblock" with flat surface was just what I needed. thanks.

As a follow up, the rubber jonblock on front of boat trailer continues to work just fine a year after purchase. Totally satisfied with this replacement of original trailer boat stop pad.
Fast shipping and even faster installation. This took about 3 minutes to install and it fits perfectly. Here are some before and after pictures. I can't tell when I post this whether the before picture is first or second. Buy with confidence.

Still working great. The old hard bumper was dinging up my jon boat, but the rubber one from etrailer works great.
I recall seeing a request for customer photos somewhere. I know this is not exactly a correct set-up, but it's what my budget allowed. Anyway, on my 1st trip with this boat, the V shaped roller that came with the trailer (bought used last year) basically rubbed the boat raw, partly because the trailer isnt exactly straight. I had thought of the wood block first, so I may end up just putting a towel between the stop block and the boat. Sorry, I lost some of the "before" pics.
The empty trailer has the old roller, but to explain, I raised the bunks and made them flat, then bolted 2" x 8" & 2" x 6" redwood slats across. It fits like they were made for each other.
But good product, timely shipping, price was competitive.

Great product at a great price. My problem was, with the roller on the front of my trailer and all the weight of the motor, trolling motor, and battery on the back of my boat, when I would travel down the road and hit bumps the front of my boat would jump up on top of the roller and then the winch strap would be loose and allow the front of my boat to slide back and forth. It fit very well where the original 3" roller was and even though I haven't tried traveling with the block in place, at least I can pull up on the front of my boat without it jumping over the block. I expect it will work exactly like I want it to.
A must have for jon boat trailers. I purchased a new trailer and it came with a v-hull roller. My boat was getting wear marks from the tiny bit of surface space actually touching the bow. No matter how tight the winch was, the bow would still move side to side going down the road. This was taking the paint off and creating shiny spots. Thanks to this proper jon boat bow stop, my boat is secure for travel with no more bow wear.
Continental JB1612 Trailer and a Tracker 1542 Jon Boat. I have no idea why these don't come as standard. etrailer had far and away the best deal. Most places wanted some ridiculous price and/or an exorbitant shipping fee. Why I keep coming back to etrailer. Less than five minutes to switch out.
Great fit for my jon boat. Trailer had been fitted with a roller bow stop, which did not fit the jon boat whatsoever. The jon block fit perfectly on the trailer and mated up flush and secure with the boat.

Was perfect for my jon boat. Had to make a new winch-stand w/ bow stop and it holds the bow perfect. And for around $15 +shipping it was the best price I found.
Quick receive on this item. It bolted right on and is an improvement for a flat front Jon boat.
I live on a river and have to speed onto the trailer and needed this bumper to spread the impact area on the bow. Not that it hits that hard, but you never know.
Obviously pretty simple, straight forward product, but nearly impossible to find at any local retailer in Houston area. Was glad to find here on etrailer's site and at a very reasonable price. Bought two for my Shoalwater trailer, perfect for squared bow as the photo shows. Excellent customer service on etrailer's part! Will definitely use again and recommend to friends.

The Flat bow stop is a great way to prevent damaging the bow of your Jon boat. Using Gorilla double sided mounting tape, I added a small piece of laminate flooring scrap to the hull where the bow stop contacts the hull. It worked great & provided a ridged doubler plate surface for the pad to rest against.
