Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this replacement manual lift control knob for your Fan-Tastic Vent clamp-on roof vents. This is going to replace the lift arm for your clamp-on Fan-Tastic Vent roof vent. This is going to work for the model number 5000RBT.So if you do have a one of those Fan-Tastic Vent roof vents and you're needing a replacement lift arm, this is going to be the piece for you, because this is a Fan-Tastic piece. You can trust that it's going to work for your application. You're not going to have to worry about fit issues or compatibility or anything like that.
The screws going to go inside, it's going to tighten down, you can see the little star kind of bits around there that will allow it to fit into the groups on the inner cylinder there that will allow it to turn.But just in case you're still a little uneasy, give you a few measurements here. I'm going to call this for about two-inches in total width or wingspan there, and then our overall height we're looking at right about two-inches, maybe two and an eighth of an inch tall. The screw size the screw is going to come with, this is going to be a one-eighth inch diameter and one and three quarter-inch long screw, and so again, it'll just easily fit right in there. Make sure that this is going to secure nicely to your Fan-Tastic Vent roof vent.That's going to complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com.

Part fit although it differed slightly from the original. Shipping cost was high given the product small size and weight. Product was delivered in a timely way.
We purchased these to repair the stripped handles on our RV’s overhead vent fans after purchasing some from another vendor that did not fit and of poor quality. The Dometic replacements from etrailer.com were a perfect fit and have shone no evidence of adverse wear after a considerable amount of use. Doing business with etrailer.com via their website was convenient provided detailed information that allowed us to purchase with confidence we had the right product. I noticed other useful products and will continue to use etrailer.com for future repairs and enhancements to out motorhome.
It fits and although it’s just a little plastic piece it makes the van exhaust fan work as needed. It showed up very quickly and was packaged appropriately Great experience

Still working great a year later. Such a small part but making a huge difference.
So happy to be able to only replace the handle of my Fan-tactic vent! Even though my older model had a different style handle the new one fits perfectly!

It took some trial and error to find the right part for my model 1200 Fan-tastic Vent, but this one is the correct part. Easy install and works fine. Just put it on today, so I have no idea how well it will hold up over time.

Working great. We have two Fantastic Fans in our trailer. And this knob is an inexpensive item, that is designed to fail if over tightened. This is good, because it keeps expensive items in the fan from becoming damaged. So, buy a replacement, and buy a backup. Simply to install. Happy with the ordering, shipping, and etrailer.com.

Get two or three, unless you live where it never gets hot. The heat breaks down the plastic knurled part and that is where this product fails. Otherwise, it works great.

This works just fine. Easy to turn. Terrific to have as an emergency back-up way to close your vent in case you have no power. And yes, this did happen to us.
This replacement part worked great, it's just unfortunate that it breaks so easily in the fantastic fan. The Max Air fan is simply a better choice to start with.
