Speaker: Today we'll be reviewing Part No. CAM23303, this is a Camco Water Hose Backflow Preventer for 1/2 diameter hose. The connector is going to cause water to flow in one direction, so it's going to be helpful in preventing backflow into your water hose. The heavy duty brass construction and stainless spring is very strong and durable, and those are located right there on the inside. It is designed to fit 1/2 diameter water hose. The easy to use thread system makes this a very quick connect system. All you got to do is screw it into place, screw the hose on and you're set to go. Overall length of the preventer is going to measure right at 2 inches and again it's made from a very heavy duty brass construction and the stainless spring on the inside is very strong and durable.

Good product. does what it says it does. No problems since install.
Overall, the products have held up well. That would be the brass fittings. The hoses were not as durable and I have replaced all the fittings with better ones. The filter works well and I am really happy with it. Reminds me, need to clean the sediment filter.
I give etrailer an A- and would recommend them to my friends and family.

I wanted the back flow preventer for the water heater outlet in my camper. My questions were answered promptly and the part was shipped and received quickly and undamaged. Unfortunately I ordered the wrong size part. It was my fault, not the fault of etrailer

Although I ordered the wrong thing...lol. The item was as described. The service from etrailer was outstanding. I love the tracking information and map. Shipping was quick. Ill do as much business with etrailer as I can in the future. The valve was a great price. I just didn't think about the tread szie The thread does not fit a garden hose.
The part is well made. Unfortunately the direction arrows were difficult to discern and I ordered the wrong part. I need 1/2” not 3/4” and the flow needs to go the opposite direction and the male/ female are backwards as well. I couldn’t have ordered it more incorrectly if I had tried.

Ordered this as I could see the brass innards (vs plastic) for the plunger assembly. Installed easily (well, as easily as my cramped WH location allows! LOL!)
