Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this replacement inline fuse holder for the CURT wiring harnesses. This is for a quantity of one holder. Now, this is a replacement wiring harness inline fuse holder. That's used when you're connecting the 12 volt power wire in your CURT vehicle wiring harness to the vehicle's battery.
Now, the wire gauge size that's used on this holder is 14 gauge size. So the maximum fuse that this size wire will hold is 15 amps, but most of the CURT wiring harnesses do recommend using a 10 amp size fuse for their harnesses. This inline fuse holder is designed to hold the regular standard blade type fuse. You can see how it connects in there. It's known as an APR, an ATC, an ATO, or an ATS style.
This type of fuse is for low-voltage and motor vehicles, and it is recommended for applications where your overcurrent protection is required.Just want to demonstrate, I happened to pull one of those types of fuses. So you can see this as a type of fuse that goes in there. At the very top it says 10 amps. So we're going to install this. Basically, you'll see the two openings right there.
You just line up the two tabs with those two, and then just push all the way down, make sure you got a full connection. And then you just take your cap, snap that over there, and that'll protect that fuse from any damage or from the elements.Now, when you do install this holder, what you'll basically do is take one end of this and connect it to the wire that's coming from the back of your vehicle, up to the vehicle's battery. And then you'll take the other end right here, and connect an eyelet connector on it. And then that'll connect to the positive post on your battery. And then like we just did, you install your 10 amp fuse in there for the protection and put the cap over it.
Now this is for a quantity of one inline fuse holder. And I do want to let you know, remember, that this fuse is not included. The fuse you would have to purchase separately. But that should do it for the review on the replacement inline fuse holder for the CURT wiring harnesses..

The actual part shown was ordered by me but it was my fault for not giving the right explanation or detail. The lady (Should've gotten her name), was great. In a few days I realized my mistake and called etrailer again, and Noah E. Picked up and knew exactly what I needed, part 118151, the whole kit. He was exceptional, making sure that If I have any questions to call him personally. THAT'S AMAZING!

Attached are several pics of the parts I needed. The red fuse holder on the left was a separate wrong order, was my mistake and is not part of the order number 118151. Exactly what I needed.
The kit brings the black wire that is routed to the battery, 6 zip ties, 10 amp fuse, yellow fuse holder, butt connector, and two end connectors.
