Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this, Andersen lowered for flatbed, ultimate connection fifth wheel trailer hitch system. Now this has been engineered to sit about four inches lower than standard models, perfectly aligning with flatbed trucks. Now this is lightweight, but it's very strong. This is made of aircraft grade aluminum and it weighs about 35 pounds, which is significantly lighter than traditional steel fifth wheel hitches that can weigh a hundred pounds or more.

I was able to unbox this and get this up on my table all by myself, and I'm not necessarily the strongest guy round. So it's very lightweight, it's very manageable, but despite being light, this is rated to tow up to 24,000 pounds gross towing weight and also the tongue weight or the vertical low limit of 4,500 pounds. So the idea here is one person can install and remove this in basically less than five minutes. It's just going to drop onto your two and five 16ths inch gooseneck ball and it's going to secure with a pin and clip. So there's not gonna be any need to install a heavy fifth wheel hitch rail system.

So this is gonna save you time, money, and truck bed space. Now you can use the Andersen ultimate connection adapter for factory gooseneck hitches with pop-in balls identified by that model number that you see there on your screen for installation, if you do have a factory installed hitch with a pop-in ball. So if you do have a factory installed hitch with a pop-in ball, you're also going to need that adapter. You can just take that model number and pop it in the search field of our website. That will take you to that adapter and you can add that to your order.

But going back out to my wide view here real quick, you can see right here where this is going to drop onto your two and five 16ths inch ball. And then it's just going to pin and clip, just like that. So it's gonna be a very easy install. Now the funnel here on the kingpin coupler block is going to give you a four inch offset, eliminating the hassle, perfectly lining up the ball with the kingpin. So this is going to be helpful, especially if you're towing with a, maybe like a short bed truck where clearance between the cab and the trailer during sharp turns, can be kind of tight.

This also features Andersen's remote latching system. So that's going to able a quick hitching and unhitching without climbing onto the truck bed. So I'm gonna go ahead and pull that, and then that's going to unlock this and allow me to easily uncouple, just like that. And you can see the funnel there at the base. And then when I couple, I can then just push this back in. That's going to secure it as you can see. And then I'm just going to give it a twist just like that. And then that's going to lock that into place. So I won't be able to accidentally uncouple, but then when I turn it the other way, then that's going to allow me then to disconnect just like that, or uncouple rather, just like that. So very easy to use. And then you're just going to use this bracket to mount it somewhere on your trailer for easy access so you don't have to climb into your bed every time. So this is included, it's gonna be very easy to get this coupled and uncoupled. I'm just gonna lay this to the side here real quick. I did want to show you that you do have two height adjustments from 15 and nine 16ths inches down to 13 and nine 16ths inches. So I do have this on the lower setting. Let me just go ahead and show you how easy this is going to be to adjust. So I'm gonna pull this clip out, pull this pin out, and then just raise that ball up to the higher position. So again, two adjustment positions. Replace the pin and clip, and then that's gonna be just how easy this is gonna be. So you're gonna be able to get that level ride that you're looking for, and that's gonna be crucial for proper weight distribution and safe towing, and of course help accommodate different truck bed heights. So that's gonna reduce the stress on both your truck suspension and your trailer's frame. Now one other recommendation that I wanted to make is this does not include safety chains. So if you are also in need of safety chains, Andersen does have their ultimate safety chain kit with clevis hooks, and I'm popping up the item number there for those chains and if you need those. And those are typically required by law. So if you don't have those, Andersen does make those chains that will work with this. So this is a great lightweight option, especially if you trailer solo quite a bit, this is something that you're gonna be able to easily handle by yourself.
