Question:

I currently have a eby aluminum bed that’s 12ft it’s on a 21 ram 5500 I am looking to find a fifth wheel set up to install or an adapter for a 3in gooseneck ball, which is currently welded in, I’m trying to take the easiest route

Hey Shawn, thanks for the information. I'm sorry but there is nothing I have that works with a 3" gooseneck ball. All of the 5th wheel hitches that attach to gooseneck balls like item # AN77VR or item # DM8550046 only work a 2-5/16" gooseneck ball. Even if you changed your 5th wheel trailer's pin box to a gooseneck one like item # RP85FR it still wouldn't work with a 3" gooseneck ball.

The B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for Flatbed Trucks item # BWGNRK1500 you were looking at would need to be welded into your bed setup. With this you could use the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch item # BWRVK3500-5W.

Is there anyway to swap your 3" ball out for a 2-5/16" sized one?
