Specs:
This compact cargo bag lets you transport up to 8.5 cu ft of gear on your vehicle's cargo carrier. It's perfect for small luggage, sports equipment, tents, and sleeping bags. The poly canvas tarpaulin construction, welded seams, and covered zippers help to keep your gear clean and dry. The bag attaches to your carrier with 6 integrated straps, and it folds up for compact storage.
The cargo bag is constructed of 500-denier tarpaulin so it's hard to cut or tear, and it protects your cargo from dirt, dust, and road grime. The seams are also welded to create a watertight seal.
A large opening on top of the bag makes it easy to load and unload your cargo. Two zippers wrap around 3 sides of the bag so you can fully open the top, and because it opens from the rear, the zippers won't open due to oncoming wind. The zippers are covered with a flap that secures with hook-and-loop fasteners. This flap provides extra moisture protection for your cargo. You can add a small padlock (sold separately) to the zippers to secure your cargo.
The bag has 6 tie-down straps with Duraflex snap buckles that secure it to your cargo carrier. Simply feed the straps through the rails or bars of your cargo carrier, connect the buckles, and pull the straps tight. You can use the included hook-and-loop retainers to keep the excess strap length out of the way. The extra-strong straps have a UV50+ protection rating so they won't break down even after extended exposure to the sun.
This bag is flexible so you can fold it up and store it on a shelf in your garage or basement when you're not using it. It includes a storage bag to protect the bag and keep it clean and dry.

I have had this for a year. I put this on the roof of my teardrop camper and went 15000 miles in 14 weeks. We went from New Hampshire to Alaska. This served the purpose well. It got drenched and wet inside until i figured out it was me. The zippers have a cover and when I cinched it down the cover pulled up. After addressing that, I had no more issues with things getting wet or water getting in. That being said, we did not carry things like towels in here. it was for our camp chairs, axe, our clam shelter and other odds and ends. worked well. I am gladd I have it. very durable would buy it again
Rhino Cargo bag exceeded my exceptations. I kept my clothes & sleeping gear in the bag. It weathered the rain & wind like a champ.
Great topper, don't forget to get the roof rack that goes with it! Quality product and really great customer service w/ this company. Will purchase from them again any day!
Excellent product, completely waterproof. Bag was easy to install with adjustable straps everywhere. Bag compresses nicely after your items are inside. Very happy with the product!
Love them. They fold up super compact when not in use. Made of very durable material with high quality zippers. I was able to get four large bags into one cargo bag. I will be using these for a long time to come and would define recent to anyone looking for a cargo bag.
We run a private SUV service in Colorado and just purchased our third Rhino Rack RRLB 350. This rooftop bag offers 12 cubic feet of capacity and has been used in several wet weather conditions without a single issue. This bag has kept our clients personal belongings dry in every storm, period.
This 350 Model will easily hold two LARGE suitcases and one medium suitcase. If you need to hold more than that, there are two other models that offer more capacity than the 350.
We have hit multiple rainstorms on road tips with thing and the luggage for all 4 of us stayed dry! really helps to keep the luggage out of the way and stay mor comfortable on our adventures.
Overall I am very pleased with the cargo bag. We did experience leakage after a rain storm however when it was unloaded and laying flat on the car roof. Water leaked through the zipper teeth but I don't think there is any way to avoid that hence the 5 stars rating. Since then I make sure the edges are tucked under so water can't seep in. It's made of tough material and I'm very happy with it's performance.
This bag is awesome!!
The quality of workmanship is outstandi ng!
I think you customer service is the best I have ever had. Thank you.
Great combination with RR rooftop carri er
I have made 4 cross country trips with this bag in the last year and it has worked perfectly. It does not leak and we have been in torrential rain and snow storms. The first trip I packed everything in plastic bags just for protection and it wasn't needed. So far it has been a fantastic purchase.
It looks and feels like it will do the job! I bought this luggage bag for the recent purchased Rhino-Rack XTray small roof basket. It arrived quicker than originally promised. Unlike the roof basket the luggage bag was boxed well and not damaged in transit like the roof basket was.
Drove across the country with this bag, through rain and wind. Very happy with the bag's performance. When full it never took in water at all. The only issue I had was that I left it on the vehicle overnight in a hotel parking lot with nothing inside it and it rained; because the bag was sitting flat and empty, water got inside and it was a hassle to dry it out the next morning so I could get on the road. I don't fault the bag for this; it is designed to be waterproof when there is enough stuff inside it to give it some height (such that the flaps cover the zippers).
If you need a waterproof roof bag I recommend this one; just don't be stupid and leave it on when it's empty!
In case anyone was wondering this fits well in a Yakima Basketcase. The bag is perfect for my intended use. I wanted something that fits the yakima basket and can carry a minimum of two paddle boards. I didn't want them exposed or visible so this bag is perfect. I only tested with the boards, but there is more than enough room for paddles, vests, and our two dogs vests. It can most likely carry more. I will update with a complete packed picture when we go on our trip in August.
I can strap this down directly to the basket, but I will be using it with either the spidy gear net (its loose on the basketcase, but might work well when the bag is fully loaded). I also have cinching bungees, and front runner straps. We will see which works best.
One complaint about the straps. It would be better if they could cinch down easier once you have it in place.
So I think this bag is very well built, tough as nails. I’m taking it out on my first road trip in a couple of days. I am not using it as it is advertised. I am putting it on a hitch rack. It fit very nicely. Obviously I have a camper van and I’m not putting this on the roof.
I will say that the straps are a little tedious. I will send along pictures, but I suspect I will have no issues with it at all. I will probably add my own straps.

So far so good. I only use it when traveling. So it’s not on my Bronco 247. Works as advertised. But it is somewhat noisy. But no other issues.
