Hi, everyone, Steven here with etrailer. Today we're looking at a CURT T-Connector. It's a vehicle wiring harness with a four-pole flat trailer connection on it. Now, folks, this is a custom-fit, easy installation. It's a simple plug and play. It's gonna plug directly into your existing vehicle wiring or rather, most likely behind your tail lights, so there's no cutting or splicing needed.
So, make sure you're checking the Fit Guide here at etrailer and make sure you're getting the right parts the first time. Now, these support the brake lights, turn lights and running lights, and as I mentioned before, this is what we call a T-harness. So whenever you put both sides out, you know the top of the T, this would be the bottom of the T. So once again, you we're gonna literally basically unplug the plug that's behind your tail lights, plug it into this side, and then plug this other side back into that Zack plug you unplugged, meaning again, no cutting or splicing. And when it's all said and done, again, you're gonna have that four pole, four way flat connector.
You got the black box here, this modular box here, this is basically the brains of the outfit. It's going to keep everything at the right voltages, it's gonna prevent back feeds, it protects your vehicle. You have a length of wire that gets ran to the battery along with an inline fuse holder. And of course the inline fuse is in the box here along with cable ties and wire connectors needed to connect that all the way to the battery. So again, make sure you read the instructions.
You do have to run this wire all the way to your battery. It may sound like a lot, but it's actually pretty simple. And more likely than not, we probably have some videos on our website at etrailer.com to show you how and where is the best way that we ran those wires when we did some installs.
