I ordered this product and then was notified it was late coming in and could be a week late. Etrailer sent me a email telling me the tire was going to be late. I was really worried, because I was needing the tire ASAP for my trip. Within two days after I saw the tire was shipped, it was at my front door. I have order products from Etrailer before and have always had a good experience. This was terrific, because it got her in time for me to get it placed on my rim and ready for my trip. Thanks Etrailer! 490881

These tires replaces identical tires I bought in 2008 for my TT. We drove to Alaska from Ontario, Canada, in 2009 and then to New Foundland in 2010 in addition to several other minor trips to the east coast and local camping trips. I always maintained 65PSI , whether the TT was parked or on the road. Never had a problem, and they feel good on the road. While the thread is still good, i prefer to get new ones as we are going a trip to BC this Summer... 6 yrs old including 6 Canadian Winters, I prefer to be safe than sorry on the road. I know they are made in China and I sure hope the new ones will be as good as those they will replace. 132141

the 185 80 13 max psi of 65. New to towing, curious - the max psi is 65...what would you anyone recommend for cold tire pressure. This is for a popup camper, empty weight 2175 lbs. loaded - guessing 2,500 lbs.Car tires have max psi of 36, manufactuer recommends 32 cold.heres where the confusion sets inThanks!

Car tires and trailer tires work a bit differently. The car manufacturer specifies where to air the tires to for the best combination of ride and performance. With trailer tires, their load capacity is in part determined by tire pressure. If the trailer tire has a max of 65 psi, you will need to air to 65 psi cold in order to achieve full weight capacity. If the pressure is less, so is the weight capacity of the tire. Pressures on the side of a tire are always cold figures.

The tires purchased in 2014 have been good , however I sold the TT earlier this Spring. Having said that , this last Spring, I bought the same make for my utility trailer and my new to me tent trailer. I always have maintained the pressure at the maximum PSI for the maximum load. When on the road, I checked them daily , during the evening, 5 or 6 hrs after we stopped or first thing in the morning, before leaving. So far absolutely great tires.

Ordered 14 inch rims and tires for my 2007 Jayco travel trailer. Easy ordering, prompt delivery, easy to install, very satisfied with every aspect of etrailer!!! 137382

Comments

Were your original rims 13 inch? I have 13 inch rims with ST18580D13 bias ply load range D tires on my Jayco Jayfeather Ultralite 228 trailer and am looking to switch to radials in load range D... These are about as close to the original tire size as I can find. If you did up-size from smaller rims and tires, how is it working out for you?

Ernest,Yes I had 13 18580D13s as standard equipment. Put on Hankook 195 75R14 8 ply load range D 2094 lbs at 65psi. Tires fit fine. There is hardly any difference in the width and height increased maybe 1 inch. I have taken the trailer on logging roads with pot holesbad washboard without any issues. With the 13 inch tires on i had 2 clearance on each side and about 7-8 from the top of tire to the wheel well Jayco will not give you any help and Dexter, axle manufacture, sent information but to check the clearances out required a lift which i did not have. Common sense dictated the 14 tires would work and they do. Hope this helps just check the side wall and top clearances.Hope this helpsclearances

Review from a similar Kenda Karrier Radial in Tires and Wheels

Received the tires and they are fine tires. My issue is with the buying experience with etrailer. 2 things that did not go so well: 1. The day after I bought the tires, etrailer dropped the price by over $7/tire. So etrailer has this "Lowest Price Pledge" policy (there is a link right on the page for this tire) of a lowest price pledge and if you find a lower price in 30 days, they will refund 110% of the difference. When I called etrailer, they would only refund the price difference and NOT 110% of the price difference. Why? They said that the 110% price pledge does not apply to their own site? Huh? No where on the price pledge does it say that etrailer is exempt from their own price pledge of refunding a 110% of the difference if you find a lower price. Not Happy. If you make a pledge, stick to it. 2. Got the tires and I live near Redding, CA. Went into town and could not find any one who would install the tires on my trailer. The basic message I got was we do not want to install someone else's tires. After 2 hours of calling and driving to the tire shops in Redding, I finally found a reputable outfit to install and spin balance the tires for $22/tire which pretty much negates any savings from buying them online. Based on this overall negative experience, this is probably the last time I will ever buy tires online again and my issue with etrailer's own lowest price pledge left a bad taste in my mouth from an outfit I usually have had a really good relationship with. I have bought quite a bit from etrailer and I expected better customer service than what I got. 407919

Review from a similar Kenda Karrier Radial in Tires and Wheels

I needed a quality set of tires for my 1959 Lil Loafer camper trailer, the only tires I could find at any tire shop local to me were bias ply and nothing over a load range D. So needless to say those would wear out real fast and not track very will. These Kenda radials will fill the need perfectly. A load range E 10 ply rating will give me the confidence I need when hitting the road. I had them mounted at a local tire shop and took it out for a test run and they sure help the little trailer track nice. Great tire for a little vintage trailer. Delivery was fast as well, less than a week. The price is fair with the exception of the Canadian exchange on the US dollar. And the website works smooth for orders, I'll be back for other stuff for sure. 385741

I will be traveling next week and will have much more confidence in the tires on my camper. These appear to be great tires at a great price! etrailer.com was EXCELLENT to order from - tires arrived as promised, in great condition and they even promptly honored their price match policy when I found abetter price elsewhere. 184766

We just returned from a trip to the Florida Keys. Also traveled to northwest Kentucky, Smoky Mountains NP and a state park near Columbus Ga last October. We have camped several placed locally as well. The tires performed well for each of these trips - with no problems at all. I keep the tires covered when parked to avoid any sun exposure issues. Very pleased with the tires and overall purchase. I will likely order another tire for the spare in the near future.

This is the second pair of these ST 145/12 radial I have purchased for my vintage 1959 Lil Loafer trailer. After taking the first pair on a couple of short trips I realized I did not have a radial spare, only my old bias ply tires. Since I don't want to mix radial and bias I figured I should buy another pair for spares, (in spite of the exchange rate on the Canadian dollar and the cost of shipping to Canada). Still loving these tires in comparison to the bias ply, we are planning a longer trip still this year so that will be a good test. Oh, I even reused the packaging to protect my bench top while repacking the bearings. 406791

We could not be happier with this purchase and transaction. The prices were quite reasonable, for this market & product, and the free-shipping saved us nearly $200. They got here faster than expected at 10 days, each tire & rim assembly were boxed separately and arrived undamaged - see pictures. I will now have to have them balanced, as I see no balancing weights on the rims, which was expected. We also ordered a spare, which was to be delivered late, but it arrived with the shipment too. Very good! 5-star is well deserved. Thank you etrailer.com! 406376

Received them well before expected, given free delivery. Just had them mounted on my X-lite. This was an upgrade from the load rate C. The real test will be to see if they make it all the way to Alaska from Maine. Get back to me in September of 2015. So far I am happy with the product and e-trailer. 184959

Only just put tires on, so can't yet report on them. They look/feel well made. etrailer made good on their 110% price guarantee when I proved a lower price elsewhere. When it appeared there was going to be a delay in shipping they called and offered an alternative tire which I chose to decline and waited for these. They arrived earlier than anticipated however. Easy transaction, hope the tires are as good as other reviews. A word of warning; the shop took 8 hours yesterday to do a laser alignment on my Correct Track equipped 5th wheel and to mount these 4 tires. Adding insult to injury, they billed a half hour apiece to mount them, or $270! I almost blew a gasket after they had told me that it would only be a couple of hours and that I'd be fine waiting. The sign on the wall for $29 (each) mounting was if you bought their tires (very fine print). Needless to say I didn't let them get away with that. I at least give them credit for honoring the $29 sign on the wall after arguing it. Next time I'll be getting them mounted elsewhere.... 484278

I have always had problems locating ST205/75R14 Load Range D tires locally for my camper. etrailer.com had them and made it easy. I have loaded the camper down and made several long trips. Every stop I monitor the tires for heat buildup. They run cool and I have not had any problems. 185378

I have had the Kenda Karrier ST20575R14 tires on my camper for 1 year now. No problems with the tires and they seem to be wearing good. I load the camper down heavy and make 300 mile trips frequently. I will buy the next set of tires from etrailer.com if I ever need them.

I like the tires but I seem to be having an issue with one of them. At the start of the camping season, when i took the cover off my camper, I noticed that one of the tires was flat. I filled it up and it was ok. There might be a small leak somewhere because I occasionally have to put air in it.I had installed the tires at the end of the camping season so I never had a chance to really test out the tires after installation.

This is a great trailer tire! I purchased these for my R-Pod 182G (I'm guessing around 3500lbs fully loaded) for a cross-country road trip. I wanted a more robust tire so I could travel at 70 mph without constantly worrying if the tires would blow-out. 3800 miles in two weeks and the tires handled perfectly and still look new. I filled them with nitrogen because I was traversing a wide range of elevations (7200'-500') and I didn't want to worry about pressure fluctuations. They were filled to 65psi when the tires were a little warm so they ended up being about 60psi when cold, but they never got above 70psi when hot. This is a great tire if you have a trailer that usually uses a Load Range "C", 6 ply tire. E-trailer made my order very painless, offering free shipping, which I had to forgo and pay $7.95 for 3-5 day shipping, because I needed them that week. The tires arrived in great shape in 3 days. 270276

Tires and wheels came FAST! I was surprised! Got these mounted/balanced this weekend and installed them myself yesterday, as I had to go over all the bearings, repack with fresh grease, check the hubs, etc. They look sharp! The real test will be how they do on the road going down to Mexico later this month. They seem like a good solid load range D tire, but will report back after I get some miles on them and see how they hold up. Purchased the galvanized wheels from etrailer as well. The tire shop that mounted/balanced cautioned me on one of the rims about a weld that was a bit iffy to them -- they checked them all as they were mounting. It didn't seem too bad to me, but I'm not a professional. 305500

I purchased two of these tires for my boat trailer 5 years ago. They had maybe 10-12k miles on them. Last fall I had one of the tires go bad - the tire cords failed causing uneven wear. It didn't blow out but I was perhaps lucky. Purchased a replacement - same tire. Last month I had a similar cord failure with the other old tire. After that problem was going to purchase 2 new name brand tires but couldn't find any D load rating tires in the 175/80R13 tires. Decided to just buy another Karrier tire. When my mechanic changed out the second tire he said the inside of this one was far worse than the first failure. I was running the tires with 55 psi of air with a max listed pressure of 65 psi. Maybe that was a factor so now running the tires at 60 psi and plan on changing them after 3 years. Not real comfortable with these tires but hopefully I can get 3 years out of them without a failure. 280969

My son had good things to say about these tires and I wanted to try a different brand after having some issues with the ones I was using. I checked with my local guy and he couldn't get these. Found them on etrailer and they had the lowest prices with free shipping. Problem was I needed them for the weekend and you know how shipping goes, they are never there when they say they will be. Well I spent $25 extra to get them here in three days. I could not believe it, they were here in three days! Must have been that two hours after I ordered them I already had a tracking number, that must have helped! I got them mounted up with my new valve stems and they are looking good. 288581

Bought 2 of these tires in 2015, just bought another to replace one that had serious blowout at 60 mph after 16,000 miles. Fortunately no damage from the blowout. Very happy with the tires up until then and not sure of cause of the blowout. It was the tire on the passenger side so maybe picked up something on roadside, rumble strips or hitting a curb. I still like the higher air pressure and load capacity so that's why I got another one. I use these on a single axle light weight travel trailer. I'm including pics of damaged tire and comparison of new and used (~20,000 mi.) I think the wear rate is good for a trailer. 378679

The trailer tires were fine on our first long distance RV trip and it's nice to have a D load rating on this size tire. (When fully loaded, my trailer is very near the max for load class C) I'm not taking full advantage of the higher load rating since the maximum pressure caused too rough a ride on my RV and I dropped the pressure by 5 pounds but it's still better than load range C. Shipping was quick, even with a holiday weekend. The only slight negative was the tire manufacture date. All 4 tires were 9 months old when received and travel trailer tires normally age out rather than wear out. Many sources recommend replacing RV tires after 5 years - so 9 months means 15% of the useful life is lost. Still, assuming the tires hold up well, I will probably purchase them again when these are retired in 5 years. 270547

I bought a used 2013 Keystone Hideout from a private party. The rv didn't have a spare tire. I researched part numbers for the same Karrier tire and Dexter wheel that are on the camper. Search results had etrailer at the top of the list of responses. Prices for these pieces were competitive with other websites. Free shipping over 99 bucks sealed the deal. Just before making the order I noticed that two axle grease cap covers had cracks in them. I searched the ALKO/Hayes part numbers and etrailer was the only site ( other than the mfg ) to list/cross ref the covers AND they were in stock for a low price. I made the order on Tuesday and they arrived Friday which is real good for free shipping from Missouti to N.E. Pa ! Parts arrived securely packaged and in perfect shape. I am very satisfied with this order. 266199

I am very very happy with these "Load Range D" rated tires. I installed them over a year ago and have just over 3,000 miles on them and have had absolutely zero tire problems since I purchased these for my travel trailer (camper). I recently just completed a 2,400 mile round trip from Chicago to Orlando Florida with zero tire problems. I have searched high and low for a heavy duty trailer trailer for in 14" tires size. This is the only tire I could find. Took a chance on them and I'm glad I did they have worked out great for my travel tire. Not a lot of options out there for travel trailers or and trailer with 14" wheels. I highly recommend these tires as an upgrade to anyone running 14" trailer tires. But make sure you also upgrade your wheels and valve steams as well. 392349

I am very pleased with my experience doing business with this company. I ordered my tires on a Friday and they were delivered on Tuesday. My biggest concern with ordering tires online is what the date codes are going to be when I get them. The tires I received had a 2017 code, so they were only a few months old, which is excellent. The tires were very well shipped, side by side, in a cardboard box, well protected. I've seen some tires shipped loose and they are subject to all sorts of mishandling along the way. These radial tires will replace the bias tires on my 2015 CSC Esplanade Excel motorcycle pull behind trailer. The expert tips online helped me answer the questions about siz and fit. Thanks for outstanding service! 418054

We are R-POD 179 owners who upgraded to load level D (8 ply) tires to replace standard C tires supplied by Forest River. Higher inflation (65 lbs) provides more stable towing, margin of safety, added sense of security from having top quality tires (and spare), especially important on a single axle trailer. 3 Boxes from eTrailer arrived quickly and a local tire company installed them (mounting, nitrogen fill, valve stems, balancing) for less than $25/tire). We are very pleased with etrailer's informative video review, blogs posts by other owners, prompt service. We have used etrailer for other RV products and will use them again because of their consistent service, easy to use website, quality products and free shipping on our order. 319899

I bought 2 wheels and 3 tires to replace some old tires on my double PWC trailer. Put both new wheels on yesterday and mounted the extra on an old wheel for a spare. Mounted this to the trailer using spare tire carrier and everything worked out great. The tires and wheels look great and the spare mounted without any problems to the trailer. 57802

Review from a similar Kenda Karrier Radial in Tires and Wheels

I decided to buy my tires online after reading the stellar comments and reviews from other customers. What I heard was that they were easy to deal with, timely in their delivery and generally just the best to work with. Let me tell you, they are the best! It started with a easy ordering process. At the outset the ability to find the tires I needed in the size I needed was easy. Second, the price was unquestionably the best. I could not find them cheaper anywhere. Finally, they arrived at my home as promised. Packaged appropriately and in excellent shape. I felt that through out the process, they actually cared how they serviced me the customer. That makes me want to order from them again! Thank you very much. 352990

Ironically I wasted so much time to try to figure out where I can find the same tire locally I had to have a reality check.... Think about what your time is worth.. Where will you find the tire you are looking locally? Once you find your tire locally, you then have to ask yourself.... What will the sales tax be? So ... In my case I was embarrassed how much time and effort I spent trying to get a better deal... Thank you Etrailer for your attention to detail through the buying, shipping and followup after the sale to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase. My popup camper will be a lot happier with a higher load range as I am tired of changing tires on the side of the road where people are zooming by at 75 mph. 51395

Review from a similar Kenda Karrier Radial in Tires and Wheels

I blew a trailer tire after leaving Las Vegas & just before arriving at my destination near Los Angeles. I researched tires and sellers online before selecting a tire from etrailer.com. I ordered it online with no issues, but as I needed the tire ASAP I called immediately after placing the order. The woman who answered the phone found my order, then checked stock to confirm they had the tire. As I had told her about my blow-out she said she'd make sure it shipped the next day. I received confirmation that it shipped the next day and got it a few days later. The tire looked great and had a very recent date code on it. I definitely will use etrailer.com again in the future after my great experience with them. 276521

I ordered a set of (3) Karrier ST175/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range D - AM10210 tires to replace the worn tires on my 10 foot utility trailer. ( two on the ground + a spare.) The tires them selves appear to be well made and of very good quality. I have as of yet had the chance to actually use them, but I see no reason why they won't perform very well for me. I am really pleased with finding a load-range D trailer tire in a 13" as they are not the easiest to find. I am "extremely" pleased with e trailer's delivery / customer service. The tires I ordered were delivered to my door literally two days after I placed the order, and I had chosen the standard, free shipping. That was impressive! 32897

Do you have a question about this Tires and Wheel?

  • Replacement Trailer Tires for 15 Inch Wheels to replace 7.00-15 Tire Size On A 15X5.5 Wheel
  • The Karrier ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire, # AM10244, will fit on a 15x5.5 inch wheel. It has a maximum load rating of 1,820 lbs. at 50 psi and an overall diameter of 27.3 inches. The overall width is 8.1 inches. I would not recommend installing the Karrier ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire, # AM10256, on a rim width of 5.5 inches. The minimum rim width for that size tire is 6 inches. If you try to squeeze that size tire on a narrower wheel than what is recommended, it will cause the...

  • Closest Metric Replacement Tire Size for 7.00-15 Tire on Livestock Trailer
  • The closest modern tire size to a 7.00-15 tire is a 225-75-15 like the # AM10256 tire you mentioned. Typically, a 225/75-15 tire will measure about 8-3/4 to 9 inches wide by around 28-1/2 inches in diameter. We offer the same size in a Load Range E as part # AM10303. The tire has a 2830 lb capacity when properly inflated to 80psi. The tire is intended for use on 15x6, 15x6-1/2 or 15x7 inch rims. You can max out on the load rating by going with the Load Range E tires, but keep in mind that...

  • Replacement Trailer Tires Needed for a Trailer with H78-15-LT Tires

By my calculations the 225/70-15 tire is 27.4 inches tall and 8.9 inches wide and the 215/80-15 tire is 28.6 inches tall and 8.5 inches wide. The LT designation on your tires is for light truck applications and you would be better off using ST (special trailer) tires that are designed for use on trailers. We do not have an exact match to the above mentioned tire sizes but we do have two...

The 7.75-15 tire would be around 7-3/4 inches wide with an approximate diameter of 27-3/4 inches. The closest modern tire size to the 8.25-15 would be a ST225/75-15, available in bias ply load range D as part # AM1ST96, or in radial load range D as part # AM10256 or load range C as part # AM10251. • An ST205/75R15 tire size like you have now will have a section width of 8.1 inches and overall diameter of 27.3 inches. An ST225/75R15, # AM10256, will have a section width of 8.9 inches and overall diameter of 28.4 inches. So the larger size is 0.8 inches wider and 1.1 inches taller. On the height though only half of the height needs to be considered so it will be 0.55 inches closer to the underneath part of the fender. If you have more than 0.55 inches (just under 91/6 inches)...

  • What Size Trailer Rim Should be Used for a 205/75-15 Trailer Tire
  • For a trailer tire, the narrowest option rim for any given tire is going to be the best option. For a 205/75-15, the best option would be a 5 inch rim. The reason that narrower is better is because it provides more support for the tire. Since trailer tires handle more vertical load, the narrow wheel that offers more support is ideal. A wider rim can still be used but you will not get as much support and you may run into interference issues even though the width difference overall...

Keep in mind, this is a Load Range D tire which is an 8 ply tire with a load capacity of 2,540 lbs at 65 psi. I recommend checking the weight capacity of your axles before purchasing a tire. It is important to choose replacement tires that equal or exceed the weight capacity of your axle. Also, it is recommended to replace both tires on...

  • The D14 will not fit your wheel if you currently have an R15 tire. That means your wheel is a 15 inch wheel and a D14 or R14 tire will fit a 14 inch wheel. The difference between a bias ply and a radial tire is the way the rubber is layered. A bias ply is layered around the tire, and a radial tire is layered from sidewall to sidewall with steel belting. A radial tire will be more stable and will yield better ride quality. Currently we do not have a 215/75-15 size tire. We do have...

  • Can Light Truck Tires Be Used in Place of ST205/75R15 Tires on an RV
  • Some RVs can use light truck tires but since you do not have clearance for a taller tire none are going to fit. Tires blow out for several reasons. First, heat is the number 1 enemy of tires. On an ST tire this is a big concern and here's why. ST tires are built with a thicker sidewall to handle more vertical load. If under inflated it will cause the tire to generate excessive heat because of that thicker sidewall. The other issue is overloading which is easily fixed by removing some...

But to get it to bulge out it would have to increase a lot, much more than a hot sunny day could. The other thing that could make it bulge out would be if it is overloaded. So that means that the new tires would take up about an inch more of your fender wells. If you have clearance for that you should be just fine.
