Ellen: Hey everyone I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a quick look at the Parking Sensor Relocation Kit for your Western grille guard. So whenever you put that grille guard on the front of your vehicle, you're going to probably be blocking some of those parking sensors on your vehicle. Also adding a little bit of length to the front end of your vehicle so it's important to get those sensors relocated so that you can still use them and account for that extra length to the front of your vehicle. That way you're not going to bump into anybody whenever you're trying to parallel park or anything else.So let's take a look at what actually comes in the kit and talk a little bit more about how these are going to be installed. You'll have these two brackets to go on the grille guard itself. So they're going to be mounted like this. So kind of sticking out.
You can either put them on the outside or on the inside of the grille guard. It's kind of up to you and where your sensors are. You want to try to get them in as close to the same location as possible and you also want to be careful to note the orientation of those sensors when you take them out because you want to match that when you put them back into these brackets. It comes with some retainer clips that go in the brackets to kind of help hold the sensors in place. Also kind of dresses up the outside look of those brackets. You'll get a couple of rubber grommets and also some metal plugs to plug up the place where the sensors used to be so there's not just an empty hole there.
You can use the rubber grommets to pass your wiring through so they go over something that's nice and soft instead of a sharp edge and kind of is up to you as far as how you want to use them. These metal plugs can be painted to match with the rest of your vehicle, so they don't stand out, it's just silvery plugs in the front of your vehicle. The wiring is going to be matched up with your vehicle's wiring so it's just a plug and play application, no cutting and splicing required. And this fits the grille guards that go on your 2014 through 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500. So again, plug and play application, just basically an extension of that wiring to get it to come out to those brackets. It comes with the hardware to mount the brackets in place, so we'll get some bolts, washers and lock nuts, as well as an Allen key to hold the head of those bolts.Pretty straight forward.
You do need to do some drilling to get these brackets mounted up on your grille guard. If you have the painted grille guard, you want to make sure to dabble paint on those holes you drill out to make sure that there is no corrosion. Or if you have the stainless steel version or the silvery one, you want to use a cobalt bit. You don't have to do any painting, but you just want to use cobalt so that you don't end up introducing any kind of rust into the grille guard itself. That's pretty much all there is to it for our look at the Parking Sensor Relocation Kit. I hope this video has been helpful in deciding if this is the right piece for you.
We do have a lot of accessories here at etrailer.com for your Silverado and all kinds of good stuff in between. So check it out. Thanks for watching.

I put these on a 2018 Ram Power Wagon. They did the trick and solved the problem of adding the brush guard that stuck out far enough to trip the sensors in the factory locations. Easy to Instal and worked perfect. Adapter plugs need work. Plugs are approximate at best.
Was easy plug and play
Arrived earlier than I was told. :-) Installation was fairly straight forward once I knew where they should go. Hardest part was removing original sensor clips from behind the bumper. Got extra wiring tied behind bumper. Even drilled holes for new fog lights (I'll install tomorrow) that I already set up to not interfere with new sensor locations. Very heavy duty components, not plastic like the other brands. Sensors now work like from the factory again, I no longer have to keep disabling them every time I put it into gear. I'm very pleased and recommend them to anyone wanting to install a Bull Bar (this is a barricade) on a 2014-2018 Silverado.
Works great!
Because of the orientation of the sensors, I had to swap the two middle sensors… But otherwise, I am very pleased. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.
Great product, made the conversion of my Westin Grill Guard very easy.
Exactly what I needed and super fast turnaround from order to delivery
Easy to follow instructions...well put kit....perfect fitment
Great item, does what it is designed for. Had to prefabricate holes and line up, but they work great.
