If you want to expand your solar setup to collect more sunlight and charge your batteries faster, this solar panel expansion will add more amperage to your charging output. This kit includes a single, flexible 110-watt solar panel with mounting hardware that connects to your existing Go Power system using the included MC4 branch connectors.

Flexible Solar Panel Adapts to Multiple Surfaces

solar flex panel

The flexible panel includes silicon cells that are set between a laminated backsheet to withstand the elements. The panel is low profile and bends up to 30 degrees to suit the shape of your RV's roof, making them more aerodynamic than traditional solar panels. And in optimal sunlight conditions, the panel produces 110 watts per hour.

Easy Connection to Go Power Solar Charging Systems

mc4 connectors

This kit is compatible with several Go Power Solar Charging Systems (sold separately). However, the total amount of amps generated by the panels cannot exceed your solar controller's maximum amperage. The solar panel installs anywhere on your RV roof with included mounting hardware. To maximize sunlight collection, it is important to install the panel where it avoids shadows cast by objects, like an air conditioner or vent. The panel is wired in parallel to another panel using MC4 branch connectors.

  • Solar Panel Upgrade Due To RV Appliances Drawing Too Much Power
You will more than likely need to upgrade your current solar panel setup because you are more than likely drawing too much power from your appliances and your 110W solar panel isn't producing enough power. • Expansion Kit For Go Power GP-PWM-10-SQ Solar Controller With Flex Panels
You can add an expansion kit to your GP-PWM-10-SQ solar controller, but the amount depends on the wattage rating of your current solar panel. The GP-PWM-10-SQ is rated for up to 190 watts, so that's the max you can have. So if your current solar panel is 80 watts or less you can add another 110 watts with an expansion kit: - Go Power Solar Flex Expansion Kit - 110 Watt Solar Panel # 34272629 If you already have over 90 watts, the other option we have is a 55 watt panel, the Go Power...

  • Recommended Add On Solar Panel for 2019 Forest River Rockwood Geo Pro
How many panels you need is going to depend on how much power you typically use, what types of appliances you're running and what size your battery bank is. If your trailer already has a solar system, you'll likely be able to mount the panels and plug straight in, since there would already be an inverter present. In most cases, something like the Go Power Retreat # 34272635 would be a good fit for you as long as you've got 2 batteries on your coach. I've linked some helpful videos and...

  • How Many 110W Solar Panels Is Needed For A 24v System?
I went ahead and reached out to Go Power, and they mentioned that a minimum of two 110 watt Go Power Solar Flex Expansion Kit # 34272629 would be needed and they would need to be wired in series with the correct controller to charge. Each panel outputs ~22 VDC, so wiring two in series would result in ~44 VDC.

  • Recommended Flexible Solar Panels and Battery for Off-Grid/Boondocking With Travel Trailer
Changing to a lithium chemistry battery bank is definitely a good choice if wanting to arrange at truly off-grid system. From your list of estimated usage, you should plan on in excess of a 1,500 watts per 24 hour period or close to 140AH. I suggest nothing less than a 200AH battery bank and at least 300 watts of solar panel to provide charge. Having a 1.5 to 1 ratio of solar panel rating to battery AH is minimum. If you choose to increase over that, then all the better but at minimum...

  • Solar Charge Controller Needed For A 600 Watt Go Power Solar Flex Solar Power System
To determine the correct rated solar charge controller for your system you'll need to divide the wattage coming in from your panels (in this case 600watts if you added the sixth panel) by the voltage of your battery bank and add another 25% for unexpected energy surges. If you run your batteries in parallel the voltage will remain the same but if you run them in series the voltage will increase the voltage (i.e. two 6v batteries in series would be 12v). So for example 600watts / 12v = 50...

  • Is the 190 Watt Go Power Overlander Solar Charging System Enough To Keep Fridge Powered
The only way to know for sure what size solar panel you need is to calculate how much power is being drawn from the battery. Therefore, if you have a 12 volt refrigerator that pulls power while in transit you need to know how much power it pulls and what length of time you'd expect to be pulling said power so you can then choose the correct solar panel to replenish it. That said, a solar panel won't provide optimal output while in motion so you'll need to factor that into your calculations....

  • Solor Equipment Recommendations for Jayco X23B With
For solar panels I would start with the Go Power # 34272628 2-pack of 110 watt panels. (Total of 220 watts) In the future (or today) based on the available space on your roof you can easily daisy-chain one, two, or four more panels. I like the flexible panels as they will conform to the bowed top of your roof, and are more easily installed compared to rigid framed panels. For additional panels order the Go Power # 34272629 expansion panel. These panels will just plug into your roof top...
