Hitch-mounted residential plow has shock-absorbing springs and a steel-edge blade to easily clear driveways and parking lots. Long-lasting actuator with internal clutch and wireless remote lets you raise or lower the 3-position blade from your cab.
Features:
Specs:
The Detail K2 Elite snowplow conveniently slides into your vehicle's front-mounted trailer hitch for fast, simple mounting. Easily raise and lower the plow from the comfort of your cab with the remote-controlled wireless actuator. The pivoting blade makes this plow ideal for rocky or uneven surfaces because it can adjust to the terrain.
This hitch-mounted snowplow simply slides into your vehicle's front trailer hitch receiver, making it a breeze to install. A plow that attaches to custom-fit brackets ties you down to just 1 vehicle. But this hitch-mounted plow can be used on most trucks or SUVs with a 2" x 2" front-mounted hitch. As a result, this plow can be easily switched between multiple vehicles. And because it offers a nearly universal fit, you won't have to buy a new plow when you replace your old vehicle.
To install the Elite snowplow, just slide the shank of the plow assembly into your 2" trailer hitch receiver (sold separately). Then use a pin and clip or a hitch lock (sold separately) to secure the plow in the receiver.
The Elite snowplow comes with flip-down caster wheels that make the installation process even easier on you. Simply flip the wheels into position and you will be able to roll the plow into position for mounting or storage. The height of the wheels can also be adjusted to match the height of your vehicle.
Once the plow is mounted on your vehicle, lower the blade and set it to the desired angle. To set the angle, exit the vehicle and manually position the plow straight ahead, to the left, or to the right. Angling the blade allows you to push snow off to the side where you want it without having to change the angle of your entire vehicle. This is especially useful on a driveway or a private roadway where piling the snow straight ahead would create a barrier.
To begin plowing, just drive forward. When backing up to take another pass, be sure to lift the plow with the remote, then lower it again before moving forward. When approaching a large pile of snow, be sure to decrease your speed. Slamming into a pile of snow can void the warranty on the snowplow.
When you are finished, put your vehicle in park and lower the plow. Remove the plow from your vehicle after every use.
The electric actuator on this plow allows you to lift and lower the blade using either a toggle switch that installs in your cab or the included wireless remote control.
To raise the plow, use the switch or remote to activate the actuator. As the actuator moves along the internal screw, the arm on top of the actuator will pivot, raising the plow blade by pulling the chain that is attached to it. This simple, chain-lifting design has fewer moving parts than other plow-lifting devices, so the setup is less complicated and there are fewer parts to have to repair or replace.
This actuator lifts and lowers the snowplow blade smoother than an electric winch. In addition, fewer amps are required to run an actuator than to operate an electric winch, which means that the solenoid on the Detail K2 Elite will last twice as long as the solenoid on a plow that uses a winch. There is also a built-in clutch that prevents damage to the actuator if you try to raise the blade too high or drop it too low. The electric actuator is built to withstand extreme temperatures and wet conditions with its completely sealed gearbox and housing.
The snowplow features skid shoes that allow you to adjust the height of your plow. This allows you to efficiently plow over surfaces that are uneven, such as gravel roads.
Blade stiffeners, or blade support brackets, reinforce the connection between the plow and your vehicle. They add 2 additional points of contact with your hitch on either side of the plow's T-frame. This prevents stress on the frame and on your vehicle, while also strengthening the performance of the plow.
Shock-absorbing springs allow the plow to dip forward in the event that you hit an obstruction. This flexibility protects you and your vehicle from impacts.

Perfect for winches, spare tire carriers and more.Very pleased with front mount trailer hitch from etrailer. I installed it on a 2002 dodge Dakota 4x4 to move my camping trailer around. I removed my front bumper (4 bolts and 2 wire from fog lights) very easy. I hit a deer years back and my front end was damaged,it was fixed, but when I went Hook up front hitch ,the bolts holes were off about by 1/4“. I solved the problem with Aluminum racing jack and 4 ton porta power to align holes in frame and hitch. The whole process took about a hour. I would suggest to hook front bolts over front axel plate first. The hitch is now the strongest part on my truck. Like I said my mounting holes were off due to hitting deer. Moving my trailer from the front is so much easier,I can hook it myself and I,m mid 70,s.etrailer is great, always a good experience with great customer service
The receiver works well. It was very difficult to install. The two middle bolt holes (where a skid plate may go) didn’t line up correctly l. It was the correct year, make, and model for the hitch and my truck. I just couldn’t get them to bolt up correctly. The hitch is just mounted to the frame rails.
Was very pleased with the customer service the going above and beyond the helping me with my concerns the answering the phone right away and even following up with me after the package got delivered to make sure I received the package
I simply love it, it does everything I need it to do.
Not on yet but looks rugged and I have a pintle adapter to bolt on and am going to make a plow for the front of my Dakota for snow. al ps , just for the shipping dept. ,the box was destroyed with the rear of hitch hanging out of box. I could have packaged it better. Please educate your people about pressure points . It should not have busted out in 4 or 5 places.
All the parts were delivered and are installed. The instructions are good and the receiver is solid. Thanks
Seamless experience from purchase to delivery. My hitch arrived on time as promised, well wrapped and now all I have to do is get it attached to my Durango. I hope that goes as smoothly.

I had the hitch professionally installed. It was relatively inexpensive to have that done and I know what my area of expertise is and attaching trailer hitches is not that area. The hitch is working wonderfully well. I had it attached to my dodge Durango and used it to launch and recover my boat this summer. It made launching and recovering the boat so easy. If I had known how much easier it was pushing a trailer with the front of the vehicle versus backing a trailer down a little tramp I would have done this year’s ago. The trailer hitch worked perfectly.
This was and still is a great hitch , use it more in the winter than summer , I would use these people over and over again GREAT people to work with .

Some of the best money spent on my truck have used this item over and over many times . Great item and very professional people to buy from will use e-trailer anytime I need this type of items for my trucks . Thanks again,
The hitch was easy to install with no assistance other than my 5 year old granddaughter.. It works great.
Fit like a glove but a slight pain to install by myself. A floor Jack helped a lot. For my 2000 dodge Dakota SLT 4x4 quad cab the only thing I would change would be longer bolts for the center mount to allow reattachment of the skid plate.
We got the hitch well packaged fit perfect use it every snow storm to attach my plow worked GREAT!!
What a great package. All the bolts are in every hole so you don’t have to figure out where each one goes. Took a couple hours in the cold to assemble.

Thats not very common to hear. Lets look into this a bit further. Do you have any photos of the line up? I am thinking that this could have been bent in some way or possibly defective.
