Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver for a 2000 Dodge Dakota SLT Quad Cab 4x4

Question:
I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota SLT Quad cab 4x4 with a 4.7L V8. It is a 5 speed manual transmission. With item # 31080 what modifications will I need to do to the front bumper, license plate and the lower cover that has the oil filter access. Will this tow hitch work as is?

You will not have to make modifications to your 2000 Dodge Dakota to install Curt front mount receiver # 31080. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you so you can see how the hitch installs.
The hitch can potentially get in the way of making it easy to get to the oil filter on the truck but we have not had any customers complain about that issue.
Some models of the truck will have an optional skid plate and if present that may need to be trimmed for the hitch to fit. Nothing will have to be done to the bumper or license plate area.
