Got this for my 1980 Austrian Pinzgauer 710 that has the 7 pin EU style plug and a 24v system. I’ve got several US trailers with LED lights that work perfectly with this plug. The LEDs seem to handle the 24 volts ok saving me the hassle of having to relamp incandescent lights. This has been far easier than building a plug from scratch, I would however like to have a seven pin EU to pin US for my heavier trailers with brakes. I’ll probably end up building one but for my light towing this is a great solution.

I installed a trailer brake kit on my Ford Ranger over a year ago, finding the misc parts and install kit with the help of the etrailer Folks. My truck was rear ended recently, smashing the 7 pin connector, that came as one part number for multiple parts, mounted through the bumper. Calling the etrailer folks, they were able to single out the part I needed without buying the entire install kit again. One five minute phone call and I'm on my way again! Very pleased!

I just had to clip a few wires and it plugged into the 4 prong connector on the van and it works as it should

I installed the pigtail on the fitfthwheel today along with the connector into the bed of the pick-up. I found the colors matched exactly on the fifthwheel and was fairly easy to install. I then installed the connector into the bed of the pick-up and found the assembly fit easily into the left rear quarter panel of the 2015 Chevrolet 3500. The wire colors were totally off from the truck wiring so a test light was needed to identify the location of each wire. Once this was completed the install was simply cutting and crimping wires. After the install of approx 2 hours ( I went slow to assure it was correct) I tested the circuits and found that all worked correctly. Looking forward to pulling and seeing how it functions.

I would have given this a full 5 stars if it weren't for the fact that of the 4 self tapping mounting screws, 2 of them broke while attempting to mount the watertight seal. I am sure they are made in China and aren't made to the higher American standard and cannot take the torque necessary to screw all the way into the metal 5th wheel hitch. Hey etrailer, buy American!

I replaced the standard 7-pin connector with the EZ Connector on my 5th wheel because I had problems with the trailer brake connection to my truck. This magnetic connector solved my issue and works so much better. No more time spent trying to fix a corroded connection, as this works every time. It's well worth the money!

This is the second 7 pin molded plugs that I have purchased from you...The wiring is NOT standard,the color coding of the wires are inconsistent with American standards. You have to be an electrician to figure out how to wire it to the trailer. Clearly have purchased these from color blind Chinese contractors. It was a mess !

This should work great, installation is still on my to do list.

Perfect . My new Subaru hitch has a flat plate to which the dealership attaché the 4-flat. I used “2 L-brackets” to accommodate the 90 degree bend of the adapter bracket.

I recently had a receiver hitch installed on my 89 Silverado and the wiring was merely zip tied to the safety chain connection. Well that didn't sit well with me. I wanted a more permanent wiring connection point. So I purchased your 4 flat to 4 flat and 7 way plug and installed it. So far so good. The installation turned out perfect and it looks good. The test lights are a great thing as well. I couldn't be happier.

Not using on a trailer, but making disconnect harness for quick attach snowblower to loader arm. Connection cord is 7 pin tractor trailer tether, Worked well.

Sooo, bought another one to match my truck side connection as GM uses Pollak, which are known to not play well with other brands. The design is just a wire clamp to wire it, which I did with the first one, but trying to get it secured I stripped out the screw. There are no torque specs provided. I’ll move to crimped ring terminals on this one and dial back the torque a bit.

It served its purpose to convert 4 connection to 7 connection to make it compatible with Toyota 7 connection set up diagram which is different than many American or other 7 point connection. Thank you E-Trailer . 5 stars and it's working just fine 1 year out from installing.

I have now installed the following on my 2017 Wrangler: Brake light relay kit . Hopkins Towed vehicle Tail Light wiring kit. Blue Ox base plate. Blue Ox Patriot Portable RF Braking System. All of this has taken about 3 days of work spread out over a week or so. Overall it went well. Not too many surprises. Crawling around under a car at 71 is a bit of a strain but I'll get over it. I must say that Donna P. has been a wonderful source of great information and has stayed right on top of the process. eTrailer has been a great source for this project. I would recommend you all with no hesitation.

Tough environment for these…need to keep a spare handy

I rewired my light bar for my boat trailer with the items I purchased. Before I built the the light bar, every time I used my boat trailer I would waste valuable sailing or fishing time repairing faulty lights. The do not last long when you submerge them in salt water. This light bar now version 3.0 have given little trouble over the years
