Yakima FatCat Ski and Snowboard Carrier Review - 2013 Ford Edge

Today on our 2013 Ford Edge well be test fitting the Yakima Fatcat 6 Locking Rooftop Ski and Snowboard Carrier, part number y03088. To begin our test fit, well take the front carrier, place it over the top of the front crossbar and bring the rubber-coated steel straps around underneath the crossbar latching them back to the carrier at the attachment point. Once theyre locked in place on either side, we can then open up the carrier, tighten down the wing nut and clamp it into place. With that our carrier on the front crossbar is secured. Well move to the rear crossbar and now well place the rear carrier on top of the rear crossbar repeating the same procedure as we did with the front. Now with both carriers in place, we can go ahead and load our snowboard and skis.



Whispbar Roof Ski and Snowboard Carrier Review - 2013 Ford Edge

Today on our 2013 Ford Edge we'll be test fitting the Whispbar Locking Rooftop Ski and Snowboard Carrier 6 skis or 4 boards capacity, part number wb-300. Now with the roof rack system already assembled on our vehicle we'll start off our test fit by placing the carrier onto the front crossbar. We'll then bring the rubber-coated steel straps around the underside of the crossbar and hook them into position. Note that you may need to turn the red knob on the inside of the top bracket to tighten down the strap We'll do this for both brackets on each side of the front part of the carrier. We'll now move to the rear and place the rear carrier onto our crossbar, and again bring the rubber-coated steel straps around the underside of the crossbar and hook them into position. We'll then open the jaw and tighten the black levers on the inside to secure it in place.
