The factory harness plug should be in the rear cargo area behind the driver side access panel. If you remove the trunk floor covering and remove the plastic fasteners securing the trays in the center and driver side, the connector should be visible. Hi Steven; I believe there was a change in the wiring for the 2026 model that doesn't allow the previous custom wiring to cross over. I'm sure Curt is working on a new wiring harness but we don't have an ETA on when that might be available.
The only aftermarket option right now is the universal 4-way # C59496. This is a splice-in installation instead of a plug in, but will still give you a 4-way to power the lights on your trailer.

Hey Troy! I went ahead and attached the installation instructions for the # TS64ZR as pictures below. You will have to lower the underbody panel, lower the exhaust, and remove/drill holes in the heat shield for installation.
Most of the hitches for your 2025 Forester have a similar design like our # e83ZR and will require the same or similar steps for installation. The only other style is like the Curt # C47HR which would be a more extensive installation.

I wish we did but oddly enough we don't have any install videos for the Thule Hullavator part # TH898 on any roof rack as I just went through all of them and they are all basically review videos on how the rack functions once installed. The hitches we offer for the 2025 Subaru Forester like the etrailer # e83ZR do not require deactivation of the handsfree liftgate sensor. The hitch receiver does sit near the sensor, but the sensor will still work. You will likely just need to waive your foot on either side of the receiver to get it to activate. Hey Gary, you are correct the heat shield of your 2025 Subaru Forester does get removed permanently to install the etrailer hitch part # e83ZR. This is a pretty common step for hitch installs on modern vehicles and it does not affect the warranty or really anything you'd ever notice. Maybe if you were sitting in traffic you might notice the floorboards in that area get slightly warmer but that would be extent.

The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper on the # e83ZR is 4-1/2". If that is too far back for your needs I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C47HR. The same distance on this Curt hitch is only 2". I also like this hitch because it has a concealed cross tube. Hey Jake! Your 2019 Subaru Forester's roof has a 125 lbs capacity with the Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Rack for Raised Side Rails item # RR87CP installed. Your raised roof rails have a 175 lbs capacity but that gets reduced to 125 lbs when you add in the 50 lbs weight of the Pioneer Platform.
