Hi Cameron!
For your 2025 Mazda 3 Sedan, I prefer the Curt # C44DR over the Draw-Tite # 24982. They are almost identical and have the same weight capacities, but Curt is made in America and Draw-Tite is not. This pretty much always pushed me to the Curt hitches. Plus I have just found them to be nicer.
When we installed the Curt on a 25 Mazda 3 Sedan, we found the hitch height to be 12" (measured from the ground to the inside top of the receiver opening). We haven't had the chance to... view full answer...
Hey Robert,
With the Rapid Podium feet being phased out and replaced with the Evo Clamp feet there unfortunately isn't a fit kit for your current feet and you'd need to switch over to the newer model. For a 2019-2024 Mazda 3 5-door you would need the Thule WingBar Evo Roof Rack for Fixed Mounting Points # TH75YG. This includes the following components:
Evo Fixpoint Feet for Thule Evo Crossbars - Qty 4 # TH49SC
Fit Kit for Thule Evo Fixpoint and Edge Fixpoint Roof Rack Feet - 7143 # TH84CE

Hey Eric,
Using the Kuat Pivot 2 # PVP20B with the class 2 EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7303 would go against the manufacturer's intended use and would void your warranty, with the possibility of the adapter failing while you're out on the road.
The Yakima BackSwing Swing Away Hitch Extender # Y02483 doesn't list a class rating requirement, but as with any adapter using this will reduce the capacity of the trailer hitch by 50% so you might run into some issues with... view full answer...
Hi Carlos; there are several trunk bike racks that will work with your 2023 Mazda 3 Hatchback. If you need a simple rack the Saris Guardian 2 Bike Rack # SAR93FR or 3-bike # SAR43FR will fit. Both have a capacity of 35 lbs per bike. The Hatch Huggers for Saris Trunk Mount Bike Racks # SA3035 will also be required for installation. If you would rather have a platform rack the Thule OutWay Platform Trunk Bike Rack # TH65JV is also available.
What kind of bikes do you have? view full answer...
Good question JB. I checked and it looks like the Curt Trailer Hitch # C44DR weighs just over 28 pounds.
In case you also needed to know, this is designed to fit a 2019 to 2025 Mazda 3 Sedan and I included a picture of what it will look like once installed.
Were you wondering how much weight you would be adding to the back of your car? view full answer...
Hi Emil,
I'm happy to help you find the right hitch for your Mazda3 GS!
I recommend the EcoHitch Class 2 because it has a concealed cross tube, so it's going to look much cleaner and more seamless on your Mazda.
If you have a sedan, the EcoHitch you’ll need is part # 306-X7303.
If you have a hatchback, you’ll want part # 306-X7305.
The only downside with the EcoHitch is that the installation is a little more involved — it does require removing the bumper. So if you're planning to install... view full answer...
Hey Steve! It looks like the hitch on your 2021 Mazda 3 is a Class I so you're going to be pretty limited. It sounds like you're planning to carry a single bike, is that correct? If so, the closest thing to meeting all of your requirements is the Kuat Transfer V2 # KU64FR. This is Class I compatible and has a weight capacity of 60 lbs. This includes a cable lock and has an optional hitch lock # HL1.
It does stick out straight for a bit before the rise kicks in but that is true for all... view full answer...
Hello Emil, thanks for reaching out. Your 2018 Mazda 3 is the sedan, and not the hatchback, correct? If so, here is what I recommend for the hitch:
- Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # C11377
For the wiring, you will want to use the Hopkins # HM11141824 if you have LED taillights. Use the Curt # C55567 if you do not have LED lights.
Take a look at the install videos I linked for you below.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help. view full answer...
Hello Calum,
I wish we did have such a kit, but unfortunately we do not. So all the parts would need to be purchased individually which can add up quickly if you need all the hardware, and some of the hardware has been discontinued like the T-bolt 853-2040-04.
With that being said, you might be better off buying a new rack so it has all the components.
The Rhino-Rack Hybrid Roof Bike Rack - Wheel Mount - Clamp On - Aluminum # RRRBC050 would be a great choice. What I like about this... view full answer...
Hi Brice,
This happens to me every now and then too when I'm down in the shop. I typically just use a magnetic retrieval tool. This is just a magnet on a bendable stick and can be purchased from your local hardware store for cheap. You should be able to get it into the frame and attached to the loose bolt to pull back out. Aside from that you would have to cut a large enough hole to get your fingers or another tool in there to retrieve the bolt.
We don't carry just a single spacer and... view full answer...
Thanks for reaching out, Devin!
I may be a little confused about your question but It sounds like you're looking for a roof rack that would be a fit for a 2014 Mazda 3 without any existing mounting points. If that's the case, you would want to get part # Y99AB. This kit comes with the BaseLine towers, those work if you don't have any fixed mounting points. The SkyLine towers would be if you do have the fixed mounting points, which would be part # Y27TB.
For weigh capacity, both of these... view full answer...
Hey Matt. To add a roof rack to your 2013 Mazda 3 that attaches to those mounting points, you'll want the Yakima SkyLine Roof Rack for Fixed Mounting Points item # Y27TB in black or item # Y82UB in silver. These roof rack kits come with custom fit landing pads that are going to bolt directly to those landing pads with included hardware.
What do you plan on using a roof rack for? view full answer...
Hi Amos!
We do have a light kit that will fit the 24x60 etrailer Enclosed Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 440 lbs # e54VV, but the brackets on the Light Mounting Kit # e98943-44LED are too large to fit between the slats on the cage if it was manufactured after Oct 2024 (the cage was changed after that date). You could modify them to make it fit, but I think you are better off using the following kit:
Light Kit for etrailer Hitch and RV Mounted Cargo Carriers # e67RV

Hey Andrew, so EcoHitch does not like to offer online versions of their instructions, which is pretty annoying, but the hitch definitely does come with a printed set that are easy to follow. The best solution I can offer you right now would be to check out the install instructions for the Curt hitch # C44DR that also fits your 2024 Mazda 3 sedan that I attached to this page view full answer...
Yes, it does!. The EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch item # EH23VR does indeed fit the 2023 Mazda 3 Sedan. This hitch has a 2" receiver, is custom fit for your Mazda, and bolts to it with included hardware.
I have linked the installation instructions below and they are pretty detailed, lots of pictures, so you will get a great idea of what is involved.
If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # 118808 and a ball mount kit item # C45534. view full answer...
While Curt doesn't have the hitch # C44DR as a fit we were able to confirm this by comparing the fits of the other brand hitches. So we do know that it does fit the 2024 Mazda 3 Sedan. view full answer...
Hey Paul; the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24984 will fit your 2024 Mazda 3 Hatchback. This features a bolt-on installation and comes with a limited lifetime warranty. view full answer...
Hey there Jessica; thanks for the question and I went ahead and got the adapter added to our site for you so you can carry kids' bikes with the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider Bike Rack # HR200Z.
For that you just need the Small Wheel Adapter # HLY84RR.
Great choice with the Trail Rider # HR200Z, by the way. It's one of the best overall values you can get for a bike rack - nothing overly fancy, it just does what it needs to do, and does it well. view full answer...
I will be happy to make some hitch recommendations for your 2011 Mazda 3 Sport hatchback. I recommend Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 24843. The reason I recommend it over the Curt option is because with Curt you would have to use stabilization strap # 18050 when using the hitch with your bike rack per the Curt warranty requirements. Draw-Tite does not have that requirement.
While there are 1-1/4 to 2 inch adapters that would work there are a couple of problems. First, the use of an adapter... view full answer...
Thanks for reaching out, Mark!
Since your 2014 Mazda 3 is a Hatchback you'll need the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7305. The alternative hitch, part # 306-X7303, is only a fit for the Sedan version of your vehicle so it won't even fit your Hatchback.
If you don't already have a bike rack I highly recommend checking out the Kuat NV 2.0 Base # BA22B because it's super durable and is extremely easy to use. On top of that it looks pretty sweet and a lot of people end up leaving... view full answer...
