Could you let me know if your Land Rover LR3 has factory installed tracks that run from the front to back or if the OEM roof rack is more of a raised type? I tried doing some research but was having trouble finding anything that looked like it was an actually OEM roof rack. If you could send me some pictures of your roof rack system that would help me know what you have. view full answer...
Hey Paul, the Pioneer Platform we offer that is designed to fit the tracks of your 2006 Land Rover LR3 is the part # RR43KP which uses the backbone system part # RRRD4B1 that was designed to fit your vehicle. If anything is going to allow it to fit your LR3 it would be this kit but if it's not the right size we can't guarantee it would work. view full answer...
Hi Aaron,
The Replacement Key for Thule Racks and Carriers # THKEYN119 would be the correct key for the N119 lock on your roof rack but I don't think we have the a replacement key for a lock listing 1D19. Is there a brand or any other kind of identifying information on it?
As for the wire harness, there unfortunately isn't a plug-and-play option available. I recommend the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236, which is a splice-in kit. You would... view full answer...
What you'd need is a 7-way adapter that has diodes built into the circuits which will absorb the small voltage spikes you are seeing with your Land Rover. For that you'd just need the part # C57003 and you'd be set. view full answer...
I called my contact at Yakima and asked about T-slot adapters that can be used with the PowderHound ski carriers.
Unfortunately they do not have any T-slots that will work with the carrier and the only mounting hardware they offer is the # Y8860040. This attaches to the carrier and wraps around the crossbars. view full answer...
The 7-Way to 7-Way adapter, # C57003, is designed to work on German vehicles like the VWs, Audis, and so on to deal with a bulb-out sensor issue present on those vehicles. It may not work the same for other applications like on your Land Rover.
If the LED lights on the trailer are not providing enough power draw on the system you can try installing some load resistors on each of the lighting circuits (right turn/brake lights, left turn/brake lights) behind the trailer connector. You would... view full answer...
Unfortunately, it sounds like there may be an issue with either the wiring or the control module on your 2006 Land Rover LR3. As you have tried the 7-Way to 4-Way/5-Way Trailer Adapter for Vehicles with Lamp-Out Sensors Towing Trailers with LEDs # C35FR as well as adding resistors with both failures to operate the lights. It only stands to reason the vehicle has something going on with it that it is not recognizing you have a trailer connected. view full answer...
Curt Class III hitch # 13456 will fit your LR3 with a 2-inch receiver. This is a no-drill installation and you can refer to the linked instructions and the install video showing a 2006 LR3 to see the process.
For a trailer brake controller I recommend Curt's innovative wireless Echo # C51180 which offers easy plug-in installation and that lets you use it in any vehicle that has a 7-way.
If your LR3 has no wiring at all you will use 4-pole kit # C59496 along with 7-way wiring upgrade kit... view full answer...
Yes, the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 will work on a 40' long motorhome as it has a transmission distance of around 50'. However, this can vary depending on the bluetooth capability of your smartphone. In regards to the trailer brakes locking up, this is going to be caused by the brake output wire shorting out to another power source. The most common place for this to happen is inside the trailer connector so you will want to check this first to make sure there... view full answer...
To get the mounting hardware to install the Curt Trailer hitch Receiver # 13456 you were looking at you will need to use Replacement Hardware Kit # RHK.
On the product page for the # RHK you will select Curt from the drop down menu and enter 13456 in the hitch item number field. This will get you all of the replacement hardware required to get the hitch installed.
I included videos for both of the products mentioned for you to take a look at. view full answer...
We have universal tow mirror options that will work great on your 2005 Land Rover LR3 SE like the K-Source Tow Mirrors part # KS3891-2 but we do not have any custom fit mirrors like what you mentioned that fit your vehicle. The ones you mentioned were designed for Ram trucks actually. view full answer...
The Thule Fit Kit # THKIT3112 is the confirmed fit for your 2007 Land Rover LR3. Since they do not fit in the way you desire, I recommend the Yakima Landing Pad 4 for Yakima Control Towers - Qty 2 # Y00224 ( you will need 2 kits), the Skyline towers # Y53TR and the Jetstream Crossbars # Y00425. I also recommend the locks to secure your roof rack # Y07204. This system will mount differently into your factory rails for a confirmed fit. view full answer...
If there is a problem your lights still hyperflashing after installing the LED Light Bulb Load-Resistors # DI34ZR then it is possible you may not have installed them correctly. If you take a look at the accompanying photo you can see how they are supposed to be installed. I recommend verifying this as it would be the reason you are still having hyperflashing. view full answer...
You will first need to install a tail light converter like Curt # C59236 on your Land Rover LR3. The link provided will show you all options. Converters vary slightly in the amount of current they can deliver, so if your trailer uses many incandescent lights you might want to choose a converter with higher current capacity. All will install in essentially the same manner.
With a 4-pole installed you will simply add TowReady 4 Pole to 5 Pole Trailer Wiring Adapter # 20036. This includes... view full answer...
The Valterra Plumbing Roof Vent # VA97ZR has a polypropylene construction. This is a thermoplastic polymer which is basically a fancy way of saying that it's essentially plastic. view full answer...
I have another option for you, but the Replacement 59" top channel 852-5402-005 you mentioned is now discontinued.
Instead I recommend the Thule 53" top channel # TH853354407 instead as it will fit into the same channel as the channel you were looking for, though it is a little shorter.
If you need that extra length you will just need to order an additional top channel and cut it down to size. view full answer...
The main difference between the Rhino-Rack # Y02-490B-NT and the JA9943 is the # Y02-490B-NT provides 59 inch crossbars, the # RRRLT600 feet and the track fit kit for Thule ( # RRT-FK1) and Yakima ( # RRT-FK3) style tracks. The JA9943 provides 54 inch crossbars, the same feet and the track fit kit for factory tracks.
If you were wanting the JA9943, you could order the parts separately:
• Rhino-Rack 54 inch Vortex Aero Cossbars, part # RRVA137B-2
• Quick Mount Roof Rack Leg # RRRLT600

In order to find the correct weight distribution system, you will need to know: 1) the tongue weight of the trailer when loaded and ready to tow and then add 2) the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle.
Once you add these together to get the total tongue weight, you will want a system that has a tongue weight capacity range that puts your total tongue weight in the middle. So for a 600 to 1,200 pound system, a tongue weight of 900 pounds would be ideal. If... view full answer...
I can't tell by the pictures if all the parts are damaged but the Thule roof rack in the pictures consist of the old style 58 inch square bars, Podium foot pack, and fit kit # THKIT3112.
The basket doesn't look like a Thule product to me. I'm fairly sure it's the Yakima LoadWarrior # Y07070 or possibly the MegaWarrior # Y07080. Look at the picture I've attached of the mounting brackets off the LR3 compared to the Yakima brackets.
Of course, if you wanted, the basket can be replaced... view full answer...
I do have an option for you but the Viking Solutions Rack Jack Magnum Hoist part # 310-VMH001 won't work for lifting items on a roof, the boom is not long enough to reach this high. I would instead recommend some sort of pulley system like Thule MultiLift Cargo Lift and Storage System part # TH572. view full answer...
