Hi, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have a fun little product here which is the Scrubblade ShadeBlades. So these are gonna be wiper blades that add a lot of function to your regular wiper blades. Plus they add a lot of color too so you can get this in different shades. We have them available here at etrailer.com and we're gonna talk about why you might want to add a pop of color to your windshield. They're not just for show. They also have some features there that you might be interested in, especially for long road trips or during the winter months.
And we will take a real close look at how that works. But first, we're gonna compare one side with the other to see the difference between our two wiper blades when they're on the car. So how obvious is that pop of color Well, honestly, it really does depend on what type of windshield wiper color you pick and what your vehicle looks like. For example, with our white Equinox here we have a white wiper blade to match. And if you compare it to the normal wiper blade on the driver's side, especially in the stowed position, you barely notice the difference.
But when you're on the inside of the vehicle, that changes. Let's run our wipers, and we have the wiper fluid going too. We have some pretty new wipers on the driver's side so it's definitely clearing out all that fluid. And we have our white wiper blades on so it's not an obvious pop of color. So let's switch it out and see if adding something brighter might be more distracting.
Now, switching out your wiper blades can be very simple or a little bit more complicated depending on what type of blade or hook you have. Later on this video we will go into depth on what kinds of adapters that this is included with but we have a simple J hook style wiper blade here so it's a very simple switcheroo process. Always make sure that you're using either a thick towel or some cardboard between your wiper arm and your windshield just in case anything happens. You wanna make sure that that windshield is protected at all times. Now this is gonna pop straight in at an angle we'll go through and then secure.
There we go. Put that cover on. And now we have new wiper blades. Let's compare it again. Running the wiper blades again, we have the white one on the passenger side, the pink one on the driver's side. Definitely see that pop of color there. Is it distracting A little bit but you might get used to it too. So we're just gonna drive it around outside and just take a look at how they fit and work. I could see how it might look distracting at first but it does depend on you for if this is something that might just add a little joy during a rainy day or if it's distracting as you drive. Running dry, there is a slight chatter but nothing noticeable. Taking a super close look at your wiper blades you'll notice that it's not a single wiper blade but two blades put together and that is to help with that scrubbing motion. You can see that there are grips along the edges. So what happens is that the outer blade helps with the mud, the grime, the bugs on your windshield but then the inner blade is there to help clear out the rain and the water. Now, when you do have dual blades like this what used to happen is that when water would get in between there and it would freeze then ice would form on the inside. But because this is made of silicone and it has that ceramic coating, that's to help prevent ice from freezing in between the blades. Plus that ceramic coating is there to give more of a smooth movement and keep it chatter free. I brought out the previous wiper blade on this car just to compare it with our Scrubblade. And some things you might notice here is they do have a similar frame style where they're hybrid blades but a main difference is gonna be the material of the frame. So the previous blades have a plastic frame but for the Scrubblades you have a rubber coated frame so plastic versus the rubber. This creates a nice low profile frame too to prevent the wind from lifting it. So even though it has that durability it also has that heft to keep it on your car. This also includes adapters and this is designed to fit most wiper blade arms. So if you have like a J hook or a side pin or bayonet arm or hook, this fits perfectly on those. You even have an extra piece up top. This is not for latching, this is actually your snow guard. So if you're expecting some winter weather, then make sure the snow guard is popped right in to help prevent things from getting clogged on the inside. And for those other not as common wiper blade hooks you do get adapter pieces as well. And the way you switch them out is you may need to first take off the base of your blade. So there are two tabs underneath. Those need to be pinched and then you push, and that way you can pull this piece out. Maybe a little tricky, but once that's out, you can then put your universal adapter plate. This pops through and then you can utilize the other pieces depending on your frame shape. Now what it all boils down to is that the most important thing as you are driving is your safety. And if your windshield has limited visibility because of bugs and grime and dirt and rain and snow, whatever, the important thing is to make sure that you have the correct wiper blades to clean and clear that off. Now, these do have the practicality and functionality of making sure your windshield is clean and clear but they have that extra step where they come in different colors, which is fun and unique. So hopefully this video show you those different features help you decide and choose which are gonna be the wiper blades that are right for you and that way if you do want to go to the next level and get some colors on your windshield or maybe you prefer the normal black wiper blades Scrubblade ShadeBlades, that's gonna be up to you and you can find the best fit for you. So whether you're looking for something like a gnarly green or a rad red or a punk pink wiper blade to put on your vehicle, we have those different size and color options available for you right here on our website. But this was a video and review of the Scrubblade ShadeBlade wiper blades here at etrailer.com. My name's Evangeline, and I hope you enjoyed the journey.

Great packaging. Fast and simple install. Works fantastic.
Extremely easy installation and the double blades work great. Also appreciate the video explaining all the features.
Work great
love that they are color designed and the double blade definitely help to keep windshield clean and streak free.
Easy to keep clean themselves which helped them last the whole year.
I had never heard of this brand of wiper blade before and have been pleasantly surprised. They are quiet, smooth, and, most importantly, get the job done.
These wipers are great. They leave no streaks and the red pops. These are my second pair. I get a lot of compliments.
They hold up very well, but I don't think they keep the window as clean as a conventional wiper blade. I only installed one Scrubblade and new regular type blade from Costco. The scrub blade doesn't keep the window as clean as the regular blade in slushy ice and snow nor in the Oregon rain after a few months. My guess is however the scubblade with outlast the regular blade 3 to 1 and do an "OK" job. The scrub blade is however, a piece of cake to install. It's very well engineered compared to the typical blade. Note: I am a clean nut!
did not hold up well in miami area. only lasted about 2 months..BUT they looked Good !!
Seems like they are better than stock. Haven't used them in rain/snow yet so will update once I have the opportunity.
Look and preform great
They are perfect for my Bronco!!
Nice fit and easy to install, time will tell on performance
These were easy to add and I quickly saw some benefit in a recent rain where they helps "srub off" some bug splatter. They did not immediately remove it, but through out a 45 min drive and light rain I saw a significant improvement at the end of my trip.
I did not need the red color and originally wanted normal black scrubblades but they do fit with my black and white rubicon really nice given red trim highlights.
I absolutely love these pink windshield wipers, there even more awesome in person and fit my lexus perfectly. Ecery woman should buy these blades, arrived on time and packaging was super good.
Super fast shipping, and they're gorgeo us!
I didn't know they were a Rain-X covered wiper blade. They wipe good except they have to be extra wet to stop the squeaking and they leave a film on there which if there's any moisture on the windshield and you go underneath of a street light it makes it harder to see
These wipers have performed great - as good if not better than expected. They provide a streak-free swipe every time, and they're great at scrubbing away road grime and bug guts. Plus, the color matches the accent on my vehicle!

Great blade, cleans well and does not leave any streaks.
Plugged my vehicle year make and model into the website, was given the sze that would supposedly fit and I was given two of the same size. So apparently these guys don’t j kw how wiper blades work and that you need two different sizes.
They are verry good,i purchased before
Best wipers I've ever had. Three relatives with same vehicle so I bought a pair for each of them. Worth the money
Similar to the Red set I had, passenger side mounting point snapped off the blade. Have replaced with previous reliable ones.
They fit quite well on my F150 Lightning. The j hook didn't need any of the adapters making it a 2 minute job to install. I'm not sure about the "scrubbing" but the wipers do a good job with water. I've only had them installed for a week, so longevity is yet to be seen.
I do like the blue wiper color as an accent for the Lightning.
I haven't had a chance to use them driving in the rain yet but they work great in the drive through car wash getting the bugs off of the windshield. I bought the red option. Goes great with my red exterior paint. They snapped on just as easy as the OEM blades came off. Took me about 2 minutes to install. Time will tell on how well they hold up in this West Texas heat. If they do and continue to perform well, I will be a return customer.
