Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at these Hellwig EZ 990 Helper Springs. Now, these helper springs are designed to fit your 1999 to 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 and Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Then your 2001 to 2006 GMCC Sierra 1500 LD. And then your Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LD.

And then finally, your 2007 GMC Sierra Classic 1500 LD. And your Chevrolet Silverado Classic 1500 LD. On custom fit parts such as these helper springs, I do recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com. Simply input the year, make, and model of your vehicle, and our fit guide will confirm if these will work for you, or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Now, these custom helper springs with a load leveling capacity of 2000 pounds are going to upgrade the factory leaf springs on your truck, installing above your truck's rear factory leaf springs to reduce sway and body roll, while preventing sagging when towing or hauling your light lighter loads.

Now, they will extend the life of your factory suspension, tires, and brakes. And these springs will flex with your leaf springs to limit bouncing, while providing optimal stability. These U-bolts that you see here on the side, they can be adjusted to suit different loads, and the drivers and passenger sides can be adjusted independently for uneven loads. These springs are made here in the USA of a durable steel construction, which is going to ensure long-lasting performance. They do feature a silver vein hammer toned powder coat finish that's going to resist corrosion.

And this is going to be a bolt-on installation, again, above your truck's rear factory leaf springs. And the mounting hardware is included. And as you can see, I just have it kind of loosely assembled here, just to give you an idea of where these U-bolts, along with the hardware, is going to go when you install these on your truck. Now, I do wanna point out that these are not compatible on trucks that have a composite or plastic leaf springs. Because these are so robust and heavy duty, it's possible that they could crack or completely damage those composite or plastic leaf springs.

So if you have those type of leaf springs on your truck, this will not be compatible with that. Again, the weight capacity is 2000 pounds. However, I do want you to be sure to know that these Hellwig Helper Springs do not actually increase your truck's weight carrying capacity. Hellwig does give you a lifetime warranty on this system.
