When you’re towing a trailer or hauling heavy gear, sag in the rear suspension can throw off braking and steering. The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 air springs add up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling support to keep your vehicle sitting level and stable. With even weight distribution across all four wheels, you get better handling, improved braking performance, and safer headlight aim when the back end is loaded down.
Not every haul is the same, and this system makes it easy to match your suspension to the load. Each spring can be inflated independently from 5 psi to 100 psi for fine-tuned front-to-rear or side-to-side leveling. Manual inflation valves and air lines are included, typically mounted on the bumper for quick access. Add more air for towing or reduce pressure when unloaded to keep your ride smooth and controlled.
The LoadLifter 5000 is built for serious duty with 2-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber air bags and high-strength Zytel nylon endcaps that are lighter, stronger, and more corrosion resistant than steel. Air Lift’s exclusive upper and lower roll plates protect each bag from wear while increasing load capacity. This rugged construction means long-term durability through heavy use and rough conditions without sacrificing performance.
Heavy loads can strain factory suspension components, cause uneven tire wear, and make your ride bounce or sway. The LoadLifter 5000 relieves that stress by supporting the weight directly through compressed air. The result is improved ride stability, reduced sway and road shock, and a smoother drive whether you’re pulling a camper, hauling tools, or carrying uneven cargo.
Installing this kit doesn’t require special tools or complicated steps. Mounting brackets, hardware, manual inflation valves, and air lines come included so you can bolt it up, inflate it, and hit the road. The design makes for a straightforward install that fits right for anyone comfortable working with basic hand tools.

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs for your rear axle. Now this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2019 and newer RAM 3500 cab and chassis two wheel drive vehicles. And on a custom fit part like this, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show you if this will work for your application.
Now this kit here is gonna provide your vehicle with up to 5,000 pounds of load leveling support, helps reduce strain on your rear suspension, and improve both safety and ride quality. It is designed for heavy duty applications such as three quarter ton and one ton trucks, motor homes, and commercial trucks. This will keep your vehicle level when you're hauling a heavy load, improves the steering and braking performance, and it'll help to maintain safe headline aid. Also helps keep your tires from wearing unevenly. It does let you manually adjust your air pressure to get even load distribution and support that you need.
You can level your vehicle front to rear, or you can inflate each spring independently for side to side leveling of any off-center loads. This will reduce the strain on your OEM suspension that can be caused by extremely heavy loads. It does improve overall stability and ride quality, and it'll diminish any sway, absorbing any road shock for a nice, smooth ride. Now this model here comes with the Air Lift's exclusive Upper and Lower Roll Plates you can see right here. These will increase the load capacity of the Air Springs, and they'll also protect the springs from any damage, extending the life of your Air Spring suspension.
The Air Springs themselves right here, they are constructed of a high strength zytel nylon, which is lighter, stronger, and more corrosion resistant than steel. They do have an adjustable air pressure range of five PSI to a hundred PSI. And if you notice, everything's included in this kit, all laid out on the table. All the mounting brackets, which we've installed already, the air line, all the hardware you need for installation. It even even comes with a nice installation guide and a user's guide.
Now the manual inflation valves and the airlines are all included. The manual valves are typically mounted on your bumper for easy access. Now, a compressor system within in-cab gauges that we do sell separately can be added to this kit to monitor and automatically adjust your air pressure. And these parts are made in the USA. Specs, again, the load leveling capacity of this is up to 5,000 pounds. Note I do wanna mention is LoadLifter 5000 Springs will not increase your vehicle's weight carrying capacity. So you wanna make sure not to exceed the manufacturer's recommended weight limit. But that's gonna do it for a look at the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs for your rear axle.

Things are working well so far. I tow and haul during the spring, summer and fall. The most air I put in the bags was 50 PSI. The air still holds pretty good towing.Time will tell if the bags hold up as the bags age.

Nice job running the Schrader valves through the license plate, that's how I'd do it! '

Glad to hear they are working well for you and they weren't too difficult for your mechanic to get installed, Matthew! Sounds like you have your Taco pretty tricked out! Are you doing an overlanding type thing?

The Air Lift is working GREAT a year later. We just hauled a Generac 705 miles up north and brought a load of big rocks back for a guy that wanted to build a waterfall for his coy fish and the Air lift system was able to handle the weight just fine and rode great. Every one comments about how smooth the truck rides. The Air Lift system has handled everything we have asked it it to and has been trouble free. These will go on every truck I won in the future.

Besides the time it took, I am glad you were able to get these installed and notice a difference right away! They look nice installed. Are you towing anything other than your dump trailer?

Glad to hear you are still liking them, Zach! Are the picture you sent in before or after the bags were installed? If it's after, I think you could actually go with a little higher pressure to really level out!

So far, After a year of use, these air bag helpers I installed on our 21 Ram 1500 Laramie 4x4 Crew Cab are working just fine. Id recommend them in a heartbeat.

Wow, I love this review because you really show how versatile these air helper springs can be! Towing, hauling, off-roading...what else is there? This is great!

Airlift Bags have performed well, compressor does adjust more at low pressure 10 psi I assume for air temp change, I have checked for leaks multiple time and none found. 6500 towing miles at 80 psi with little auto adjusting pressure and no issues.

Inflation valves tend to loosen. Must be checked regularly. Suggest some type of lock washers be supplied. The only way I found to improve the rear seat ride is to decrease tire pressure. I only do this when expecting passengers so I don’t wear the tires excessively.
