So far so good. It lets very little light through from outside, in the main living space I would like this, as I have kids who are still at the napping age. in the bathroom I don’t like it so much. Other than that it appears to be well made.
Installation was a pain, but no fault of this unit. The old butyl tape was a lot of work to get off the roof.1008924

I am happy with this fan in my Ford Transit Connect. It is a standard height SWB Transit so I didn't feel I needed a more powerful fan. I like the built in light. I need this to fit in my garage so this fit the bill for a reasonable price. I will be running it off a portable power station and solar to charge the power bank. My van already had a popup vent installed so this should move some air through nicely. The installation after watching a few videos went smooth and took a few hours. I cut the roof hole, put down butyl tape and self leveling lap sealant. My roof is thinner so I did not need to use the middle extension piece. I did use my own 1" self taping screws. I would say I have moderate skills with tools and measuring. My electrical skills are minimal but I did not have any issues with this. Just put it in this morning so I haven't camped with it yet.1077263

this is the second one i have purchased. they are a bit expensive, so i didnt buy two. i was so happy with the first one i bought a second for my trailer where i store my scuba gear. The fan pulls the moisture out and the LED lights the interior. these units pull very little current. i have a garden tractor battery in my trailer with a solar charger, and this works great.1176757

still working as advertised. PS I am running the fan 24x7 to remove moisture from my trailer.

Very poor quality. In less than 6 months, the control knob had fallen off. Another couple of months & the switch no longer works at all. Don’t waste your money!1504811

Just finished installing two of these vent units in a small travel trailer. The original arrangement did not include fans. These fan vents will reduce occurrence of smoke alarms while cooking. We sometimes camp without overnight shore power, so the fans will also be convenient for providing overnight ventilation without rigging temporary fans and being concerned with rain coming into the vent. The LED lights appear to be just the right amount of lighting. Also, the low profile for the control switch is a good arrangement because the ceiling height is only about 6 ft.1195533

Great fan , the most I love about it, it's has less moving par.. example the first one that I had the top would go up and down has you use it, at a years the mechanical part broke off and I am out of $170, now with this maxx air mini fan all the moving part are from inside plus there is no hatch going up and down and the inside moving part of the maxx air are only the switches/controls.. I had replace the front of my van and now I am about to reorder another one for the back since that one broke off too and the maxx air it's seem more durable pastic... i installed two of these in my training trailer here at the Scuba School. I run the fan 24x7 when its 100 degrees out to protect my product from the heat. I also installed a very inexpensive battery charger to keep the fans going at maximum speed. I did go through some smaller units that were inadequate1342603

They have been great. They took about an hour each to install. I do miss the amount of airflow that came from the other ones, but these are darker, and and allow for airflow and dark at the same time which is great for the bedroom.

I do kind of wish I got some with fans that could be pull air flow through the RV. but they are great, and the price was excellent.1415459

We rebuilt our pop-up camper top and decided to replace it with a fan instead of trying to salvage the existing unit. This product by etrailer was beyond a doubt the most cost efficient and quality product I found in all my searches. The product was easy to install and was even an upgrade from our original hand crank set up with a light as a bonus. It is adaptive to the various trailer thicknesses so it should be a fairly universal fit. I would recommend to anyone replacing their units.1208998

I used this vet to replace the crank up vent in my bathroom. I was a bit disappointed that it doesn't let in as much natural light and the vent I was replacing, but with the build in LEDs the lack of light was manageable. However the plastic cover isn't quite strong enough to hold up to Texas hail storms and I found broken louvers and a large crack in the vent cover after one bad storm. It isn't leaking (yet) but when it does and I have to replace it I'm not sure I'll install another one of these.717292

I purchased from etrailer a Maxxair Mini RV Vent and Fan and after owning it for a year I’m still pleased with the reliability and quality of the system. The installation was so easy that even I could do it! My wife and I camp with the kids, their friends and other family members, so the fan gets a work out to say the least! I have already recommended etrailer and Maxxair to other campers so if you are asking me then go for it! I have experience with etrailer and their customer service is on point. 808399
