Video Transcript for An In-Depth Look at the Putco PURE High-Performance H3 Halogen Headlight Bulbs

Hey everyone, it's Colin here to etrailer and today I'm going to take some time and show you guys these Putco, pure high-performance replacement headlight bulbs. Now these are going to be able to fit a wide variety of vehicles, so just make sure you enter your year, make model of vehicle in our fit guide on the website and that'll help you determine if these headlights are going to fit your vehicle.Now these replacing bulbs are going to be a direct replacement for your factory headlights over time. If you just have an older vehicle, maybe a vehicle that just has a lot of use to it, those headlights could dim down and get more distorted or just plain go out. So having this nice little replacement kits going to allow you to replace the bulbs so that you can have clear visibility while driving at night.Now something I like about these headlights is they have a nice white color to them, that's just going to look a little bit nicer and be brighter than those old yellow factory bulbs that you might have in your vehicle. And these are also going to shoot a wider beam so that you can have increased visibility on the sides of your vehicle as well. These are dual filament lights, which means we're going to have low beams and high beans in them.

Our low beams right here we're going to be burning at about 55 Watts on 12 volts. Step it up to our high beams. Now we're at about 65 Watts on 12 volts. Now if you get these Putco lights and you replace them in your vehicle and you find that it's not that much brighter than your old factory light bulbs were, well that could be because your headlamps are really fogged up and they need to be cleaned or restored.We have a restoration kit here at etrailer from Rain-X. You can pick that up along with these bulbs and then you can clean off your headlamps so they get you at maximum visibility out of your headlights.Now the install for every single vehicle is going to be different, but generally getting the actual bulb installed in the headlamp is going to be the same process.

With this one, we just have to take off that knob right there, set it to the side. This is our old bulb right here. It's kind of wedged in, so we pull that out and then we'll get the new one.And we just take our new bulb and get that on and we'll take that knob and replace it. For this vehicle, it just happens to hold that light in place better. And then we'll just get this plugged back up and reinstalled on our vehicle.

And now you can see with both bulbs installed, both our headlights at brighter. We're going to get better visibility at night, and that's going to increase our driver awareness.
