And because starting your engine when it's warm creates less condensation in the engine block than starting it when it's cold, your engine will get better initial fuel vaporization, which causes fewer emissions and less pollution.
This frost-plug heater replaces the core plug in your engine block. The power cord on the heater is removable so that you won't need to buy a whole new heater if the cord gets damaged. The cord can be routed through your grille for easy access to a 120-volt outlet or extension cord. If needed, a longer or shorter cord (sold separately) can be purchased to better fit your application. Make sure the heating element is fully submerged in the coolant before plugging it in.

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Kats Heaters 120 Volt 400 Watt Custom Engine Block Heater. Now, this part here will ensure smoother startups and faster heating and defrosting of your cab. This part will replace your frost plug in your engine block, and it submerges in the coolant. This will warm your engine fluid to increase lubrication performance, keeps the fluid from thickening and protects against damaging cold weather.
This will preheat your engine to reduce condensation in the engine block. That'll emit less pollution and fewer gas emissions. Now, it does include this five foot long removable power cord. You'll just route this through the grill, plug it into a standard 120 volt AC outlet, and on the other end, you just line it up with the heater here, plug it in and just like that, you're all ready to go. This will be installed into your engine block, has a gasket on it to help seal it.
Now, this is constructed of a corrosion-resistant brass. It is a custom fit for your vehicle. It is CSA approved and it is made in the USA. Again, this one here is designed to fit 36 millimeter diameter frost plugs on your engine block. The wattage on this is 400 blocks and the amperage is 3.3 amps.
