When towing pushes your truck's brakes harder, you want a brake you can feel. These low-metallic brake pads deliver a strong initial bite with a bed-in coating for quicker break-in, giving you an immediate response when it matters most.

Highlights

  • Made for Trucks That Tow: Severe-duty brake pads deliver immediate, responsive braking you can feel when towing puts more demand on your truck.
  • Better Control During Sudden Stops: Helps you slow with more control when traffic stops abruptly or someone pulls out in front of you.
  • Consistent Braking Under Heat: Fade-resistant friction material keeps braking smooth and predictable through repeated stops.
  • Less Noise from a High-Bite Pad: Premium multi-layer vulcanized rubber shims help quiet the noise commonly produced by low-metallic brake pads.
  • Faster Break-In After Installation: A bed-in coating provides immediate pedal feel and helps the pads reach full performance sooner.
  • Consistent Pad Construction: Positive molding creates even pad density and precise dimensions for reliable braking from one pad to the next.

Features to know about

Your Brakes Work Harder Every Time You Tow

The first thing many people notice while towing is how much harder their truck has to work to stop. More weight means your brakes have to absorb more heat and manage greater braking forces with every stop. Suspension enhancements can improve ride quality, stability, and control under load, but they don't give your brakes any additional stopping power. Timbren Brake Enhancement System brake pads focus on that missing piece, using a severe duty low-metallic friction formula that delivers a stronger initial bite and more consistent braking when towing pushes your factory brakes harder.

Stronger Response When You Need to Stop Now

Heavy trailers and loaded trucks can expose the limits of standard brake pads, especially during sudden stops or repeated braking. The extra weight keeps moving forward after you press the pedal, which can make the truck feel slower to respond and leave you wondering whether you gave yourself enough room. These pads use a low-metallic friction formula that grabs quickly as soon as you apply the brakes, giving you braking you can feel the moment you press the pedal. That response matters when traffic stops abruptly, a vehicle pulls out ahead of you, or the trailer starts pushing harder than expected. They won't change the laws of physics, but they do give your truck a more immediate and predictable braking response during hard stops. The friction material also resists fade as heat builds, helping maintain smooth, consistent braking through repeated stops. Premium multi-layer vulcanized rubber shims help absorb the added vibration that can come with a high-bite pad, reducing squealing and chatter without dulling the response you bought them for.

Made for Trucks That Tow, Haul, and Work

Many high-performance brake pads are designed around lighter vehicles, spirited driving, or track use. These are not. Timbren brake pads have been field-tested in towing, utility, municipal, off-road, and fleet applications where heavy loads, repeated stops, and higher brake temperatures are simply part of the job. Their severe duty formula delivers the strong initial bite associated with performance brakes while handling the added weight and heat that come with pulling a camper, boat, equipment trailer, or other heavy load. Designed for front wheel applications, depending on your vehicle, they give towing-focused drivers a practical upgrade made for the way their truck is actually used.

Premium Construction for Consistent Braking

Brake performance depends on more than the friction material. If the shape, thickness, or density changes from one pad to the next, the way each pad contacts the rotor can change too, leading to uneven wear, inconsistent pedal feel, and braking that does not feel the same from one wheel to another. Positive mold manufacturing compresses each pad evenly inside precision-machined molds under high pressure and heat, creating consistent density and precise dimensions. That consistency helps every pad contact the rotor the same way, producing more predictable pedal feel and more even braking.

Spend Less Time Breaking In New Pads

New brake pads need time to transfer an even layer of friction material onto the rotor before they reach their intended braking performance. Timbren's brake pads include a bed-in coating, a thin friction layer applied to the pad surface that helps speed up the break-in process. The result is better pedal feel right after installation and less time waiting for your brakes to reach full performance, so you spend less time breaking in new pads. Changing brake pads is a job many experienced DIYers can handle, but brakes are one of those projects where being almost right is still wrong. If you'd rather leave it to a pro, find an installer near you.

Video Transcript for Review of Timbren Vehicle Brake Parts - Front Wheels BES Disc Brake Pads - T67HV

Hi, everybody. Andy here with the etrailer. Let's take a quick look at these Timbren front wheel BES disc brake pads. Now, these pads have been designed to fit your 2021 to current Ford F-150 with either the 30, I'm sorry, the 336 millimeter or the 350 millimeter rotors. On custom fit parts such as these pads, I do recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer. Pop in the year, make, and model of your vehicle, answer any other questions that it might have for you and our fit guide will confirm if these pads will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you.

Also, speaking of the fit guide, we do have complete kits with the pads and the rotors that are fit for your truck. So if you want the complete kit, again, the fit guide will point you in the right direction. Now if you do a lot of towing or hauling, your factory brakes are gonna start to feel overwhelmed by that extra weight and you're probably feeling that already. So that's why you're looking for pads such as these. These Severe duty brake pads are designed specifically for trucks that tow or haul.

So these are gonna give you that stronger initial bite and a more responsive pedal, so you're gonna feel more confident when you need to slow down. So whether traffic suddenly comes to a stop or someone pulls out in front of you, these pads are going to give you better control during those hard braking situations. These are also built to handle the heat that comes with towing. The fade-resistant friction material is going to maintain consistent braking performance through repeated stops, so your brakes are gonna stay predictable even on those long grades or in stop-and-go traffic. And because these are low metallic pads, they're gonna naturally provide more stopping power, but they're also prone to create more noise.

So to help with that, Timbren has these premium multi-layered vulcanized rubber shims on the other side to help reduce squeal without sacrificing brake performance. On your screen, I just wanted to give you a breakdown of what one of those shims looks like, the multi-layered construction there. Then the second photo shows you what the pad looks like with the shim pulled off. Again, just to give you a closer look at the construction of the pad and the shims themselves. Each pad is positive molded, which is going to ensure consistent density and precise dimensions for even wear and reliable braking performance throughout the life of the pads.

If you notice here, we have these blue stripes here on the pads. That's the bed-in coating that's going to help these pads deliver that solid pedal feel right away while shortening the break-in period. But installation's gonna be pretty straightforward and includes everything that you see here. But if you are looking for help with installation, on this product page underneath the photo section, we have a link that will take you to our installer locator. Click that link, answer the questions that it has for you, and that locator will find an installer in your area that etrailer has partnered with to do the install for you. Well, again, my name's Andy. Thank you for joining me.

Haven’t put many miles on them just yet, but they stop very quickly. Shipping was great, and packaging is nice. Blue covers are a nice touch to the pad as well. Will update after I wear them out
